    Ed Barnard will likely ring the changes regularly until breakthroughs occur or Sussex win this game.

    Michael Booth is the early change in the first 25 minutes this morning.

    He starts with what deserved a maiden, mostly a straight line making Tom Price play, defending off the back foot straight down the wicket, until the last ball took a fortunate inside edge for a single.

    Colin Ingram tries to go after Brett Hutton outside off stump but it's probably too close to his body for the cover drive.

    Ingram is already committed to the shot, though, and it takes a nick and another Glamorgan batter is caught behind by Kyle Verreynne.

    Two new batters at the crease for Glamorgan in Colin Ingram and Sean Dickson, who replaced the injured Ben Kellaway after he hurt his hip while fielding in the Notts first innings.

    The visitors need a partnership to stem the tide after losing two quick early wickets this morning.

    Bonus runs for Sussex as Kai Smith misses one that wobbles past Jack Leaning and himself for four byes.

    Nicely played, Jamie Smith, who strokes with ease through the covers from Josh Hull and it beats the infield to race away for four.

    Smith made a huge 166 in the first innings. Surrey could do with a bit of that again.

    The 'Mad Badger' strikes, more of a honey badger if you know your animals this was vicious!

    A brute of a delivery to a night-watchman/tailender from Harry Conway as he gets it right in the throat area of Jas Singh.

    Right into the body, throat area and all Singh can do is glance it through to the wicketkeeper.

    A seventh wicket in the game for Conway and Northants are in business on day four.

    The wickets at Hove have tended to flatten out as the match goes on in recent years, and that combined with the deep batting line up mentioned earlier, and that time is not an issue, all weigh in Sussex's favour.

    Tom Price cutting Jordan Thompson's first ball of his 11th over for four gets a warm ripple of applause, a confident shot getting the Sussex juices flowing.

    Only 84 runs needed now.

    Notts rattled through Glamorgan in the first session on day two - are they about to repeat the trick?

    Asa Tribe batted wonderfully on day three but he's only been able to add three to his overnight score.

    He looks to cut away into the off-side from Brett Hutton but chops on.

    Another great enticement from Sussex CCC to draw new spectators into the ground early in the season.

    With the temperature higher than previous days, and a possible home win in the offing, make the most of a couple of hours of free cricket by the seaside. If you can get there, do as soon as possible!

    Jamie Smith is off the mark as he pushes through the off-side for four, trickling away to the point boundary from Josh Hull.

  16. Five-wicket haul for Kyle Abbott

    Bean lbw b Abbott 33 (Yorks 71-6 – Target 426)

    Just the start Yorks did not want and just the one Hants did as Kyle Abbott bags his five-for with the wicket of Finlay Bean, the 47th of his first class career.

    Bowling round the wicket, Abbott angles it in towards Bean who simply plays down the wrong line.

    It is weird how the bowler's angles seem to fool batsmen, but they do again and again.

    Abbott has 5-12 from 10 overs.

    Just the start defending champions Notts will have wanted as they go in search of their first win of the season.

    Top-class bowling from Dillon Pennington as it pitches on a length to Kiran Carlson and seams away at the last moment.

    Not a terrible shot from Carlson who tries to block but it feathers the outside edge on the way through to Kyle Verreynne.

  18. Lancs 147-8, lead by 124 runs

    No hat-trick as Mitch Stanley defends to the leg side but that is the perfect start for Derbys.

    Two great balls from Ben Aitchison who was right on the money from the off.

    Marcus Harris was standing at the non striker's end wondering what on earth was going on as the best laid plans of building a decent defence are bruised at best and in tatters at worst.
