Ah, WinViz. True friends like you tell it how it is. Even when we don't want to hear it.

We don't want to rip this England team up and start again. There is so much good we can take and Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum are so well respected.

It is like asking Pep Guardiola to play the long ball game, however.

With the lunch break comes the end of my night vigil for the past two months. Had a lot of hope, that got smashed in 48 hours of cricket in Perth, but there is a sentiment of loneliness creeping up the past two nights. It's been a pleasure watching and following the feed on the BBC, a big thank you to everyone involved, and sorry for the angry moments. English cricket for you. See you in June!`

Don't fancy a white-ball series in Sri Lanka later this month, Chris...?

England were able to dismiss both Australia openers before lunch.

A filthy slog from Travis Head (29 off 35 balls) off Josh Tongue went skywards and Brydon Carse pouched the catch at mid-on.

England struck again on the stroke of the interval when a top edge from Jake Weatherald off Tongue was taken by Matthew Potts at fine leg tumbling forward.

Marnus Labuschagne is set to resume with Steve Smith in the afternoon session with Australia on 71-2 and 89 runs short of victory.

Australian openers Jake Weatherald and Travis Head put on 62 for the first wicket but did so amid more snicko controversy.

Weatherald appeared to nick off against Brydon Carse - snicko showing a clear a murmur - but an England review did not overturn the original decision of not out.

Tension rose between the players, and the umpires, as Carse and Ben Stokes voiced their frustrations.

Matthew Potts and Josh Tongue were to hang around and add another 14 runs for the final wicket before Starc removed the latter, caught by Marnus Labuschagne at extra cover. That set Australia 160 for victory

England began the day on 302-8 and were able to add another 40 runs to their second-innings total.

Jacob Bethell managed to pass the 150-mark, having resumed on 142, before he nicked off to Mitchell Starc.

A daddy hundred for Jacob Bethell, reviews galore, snicko controversy... it's been a busy old session.

I'm offski. Here's Timothy Abraham to unpick all of that and the post-lunch action.

  14. Lunch - Aus 71-2published at 14.4 overs

    Target 160 - need 89 runs

That wicket is the final act of the session.

England have removed both of Australia's openers but still need eight wickets to pull off an unlikely win. Australia are 89 runs away from a 4-1 triumph.

A brilliant catch by Matthew Potts. A strange shot from Jake Weatherald, who has had a funny old series.

    Aus 70-1

Ohhhhh! Will Jacks nearly strikes with his fourth ball of the day. Jake Weatherald plays uppishly back towards the bowler but he can only get a hand to it as he dives low to his right.

    It's a tough one.

  19. Aus 70-1published at 13 overs

    Target 160 - need 90 runs

Josh Tongue demonstrates his keepy uppy skills as he fields off his own bowling.

He's on course for a maiden... and then he loses his length and Marnus Labuschagne guides the final ball of the over through the covers for four. Textbook drive.

  20. Aus 66-1published at 12 overs

    Target 160 - need 94 runs

Joe Root is under the helmet at short leg. Marnus Labuschagne directs one into his shins.
