for Ben Coxpublished at 12:07 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leics 552-7

A thick edge to mid-wicket off Andy Gorvin and a single takes Ben Cox to 50 off 134 balls. He's having quite a season for Leicestershire - his previous scores this season were 44, 60 and 162.

    Derbys 281 & 152-6 v Glos 498

Luis Reece has decided - probably correctly - that attack is the best form of defence in Derbyshire's position.

He's already tried sweeping Graeme van Buuren a couple of times before dancing down the track to the left-arm spinner and lifting him over midwicket for four to bring up his side's 150.

Gloucestershire need four more wickets and, unless the home side can score another 65 runs, they won't need to get their batting gloves out again today.

    Leics 440 v Leics 549-7

Kiran Carlson now bowling in his cap for Glamorgan - remember Geoffrey Boycott doing so for England?

Ben Cox strokes an easy single and moves to 49 not out.

  4. Postpublished at 12:01 BST 27 April

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 51-1

Dislodging Dean Elgar is probably the key if Surrey are to maintain their hopes of forcing victory.

At the moment, no sign of that happening as the left-hander steers Jordan Clark through the vacant second slip area for four and Tom Westley follows up with another boundary later in the over, hauling his side's total above 50.

Not too long now before Essex move into positive territory.

    Green b Gorvin 3 (Glamorgan 440 v Leics 548-7)

    Ben CoxImage source, Shutterstock

Ben Green aims a huge mow at a ball from Andy Gorvin but only succeeds in getting a big inside edge into his stumps.

Leicestershire are 108 ahead as Ajaz Patel comes out to bat.

Bearing in mind that Jake Weatherald is unlikely to resume his innings, there are only two wickets left for Glamorgan to take.

    Lees b Stanley 10 (Durham 28-1 – require 308 to win)

Alex Lees is livid with himself - he's been brilliant at choosing which balls to leave in the opening hour but he's got that one all wrong.

The Durham opener raises his bat and moves aside to let Mitch Stanley's delivery plough into his stumps without any resistance.

Durham saw off James Anderson and Tom Bailey but it's the change bowlers who have made the difference.

Two home games at the Oval drawn surely time to sack the groundsman and scour Europe for a replacement….has he lost the dressing room?! (laughing emoji)…..

Well another bore fest at the Oval.... Blimey at the end of the season Surrey will.have more draws than Nora Batty

  8. Draw remains favourite on docile pitchpublished at 11:54 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leics 544-6

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

We assume the Foxes will attempt to step up the tempo to increase their lead before a potential declaration to put pressure on the hosts, though on a docile hybrid pitch, the draw remains favourite.

Leicestershire started the day with a lead of 60 but started slowly as Glamorgan were content with a holding operation in the field.

Tattersall reached his first Leicestershire century, in his second game since moving Yorkshire, off 191 balls and including just six fours.

But he quickly fell, caught at long-on off Kiran Carlson, when he tried to open his shoulders- having put on 104 with Ben Cox.

Leicestershire are not expected to risk Jake Weatherald, the Australian opener, after cramp curtailed his innings - and they won’t replace him because he would then miss the next match.

  9. 'Balderson could be key'published at 11:53 BST 27 April

    Durham 25-0 – require 311 to win

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Balderson could be a key bowler for Lancashire today.

The changed bowlers could reap the rewards of Anderson and Bailey's work.

  10. wicket

    Guest b Williams 2 (Derbys 281 & 135-6 v Glos 498)

Derbyshire are sinking fast as Will Williams claims his second wicket of the morning.

Brooke Guest had survived a couple of close calls already, but there's no escape this time as Williams flattens his off stump.

Luis Reece is next in and Derbyshire still need 82 to avoid an innings defeat.

Leicestershire need to treat this pre-lunch period as a 20-20 match.

Maybe the after-burners are about to be turned on, Roy.

  12. Postpublished at 11:49 BST 27 April

    Durham 23-0 – require 313 to win

James Anderson tries a change of angle, coming around the wicket, as he stays on for a seventh over.

That shows how important Lancashire think these early overs are in this contest.

    They really want a wicket.

Durham are not interested in scoring runs at present, just surviving, and hoping they can start adding to that total when the ball gets softer later on.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:47 BST 27 April

    Tattersall c Tribe b Carlson 112 (Glamorgan 440 v Leics 541-6)

Jonny Tattersall tries to slog-sweep Kiran Carlson and Asa Tribe takes a good tumbling catch at mid-on, brining his 200-ball innings to an end.

Ben Green is the new Leicestershire batter - the lead is 101, are they now looking to get a move on?

  14. Sussex lead by 50published at 11:46 BST 27 April

    Yorkshire 511 v Sussex 502 & 61-3 – Sussex lead by 52 runs

Sussex's lead goes over 50 runs thanks to the arrival of James Coles (14 from nine) who has helped himself to a couple of fours to get his side moving.

Tom Clark is on 19 from 64 balls.

  15. Postpublished at 11:45 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 353-4 v Warwicks 459

Kyle Verreynne cuts Jordan Thompson for four as the Notts total passes 350. More importantly for them, they have avoided any loss so far this morning and lead by 173.

  16. Postpublished at 11:43 BST 27 April

    Durham 295 & 22-0 v Lancashire 370 & 260-9 dec – Durham require 314 to win

Ooh James Anderson's hands go to his head - he thought he had that one!

The ball swings back in late and Alex Lees does well to leave it - great discipline being shown by the Durham skipper.

    It's tense!

  17. ouch!

Postpublished at 11:43 BST 27 April

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 36-1

It's taken until the 10th over of the morning for Essex to register a boundary, which gives some idea of how difficult they've found it to make progress.

Jordan Clark is on for his first bowl of the day and Dean Elgar leg-glances him for four. The left-hander clearly enjoyed the experience so much that he dispatches the next one to the rope too, this time through the covers.

By far the most expensive over of the morning so far and it ends with Tom Westley ducking into a Clark bouncer that didn't get up at all. There's a delay while the Essex captain is checked over, but he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort.

  18. 100 runs

for Jonny Tattersallpublished at 11:40 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leics 530-5

    Jonny TattersallImage source, Shutterstock

Jonny Tattersall clips Andy Gorvin into a leg-side gap and two runs takes him to his first century for Leicestershire, from 191 balls.

It's the fifth of his career and the lead is now 91. Kiran Carlson and Zain ul-Hassan still doing the bowling for Glamorgan.

  19. Postpublished at 11:40 BST 27 April

    Durham 21-0 – require 315 to win

Brilliant bowling by Lancashire's Tom Bailey against Alex Lees.

He is testing the Durham opener with every delivery and beats the bat in the final ball but there is no nick behind.

In the ball before that there looked like there might have been a slight edge but it dropped short of the wicketkeeper.

It's a good duel and James Anderson is now on for the sixth over of his opening spell.

  20. Postpublished at 11:39 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 347-4 v Warwicks 459

Jordan Thompson replaces Ethan Bamber and Kyle Verreynne drives a wide one through backward point for four. He wasn't fully 'over' that shot but no alarms for the South African, who is 32 not out.

Michael Booth will take over from Chris Woakes at the other end.
