  2. Postpublished at 14:53 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 & 44-1 v Leics 586-7 dec

Asa Tribe is very quick to seize on anything too full from spinner Ajaz Patel. He repeats his earlier boundary to mid-on and then covers up solidly in defence to end the over. Glamorgan's deficit is now 102.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:51 BST 27 April

    Bashir c Bancroft v Bell 2 (Derbys 281 & 281-9 v Glos 498)

Derbyshire now lead - but they're nine wickets down.

Gabe Bell grabs his third as Shoaib Bashir edges to second slip and now last man Muhammad Abbas is on his way to the crease.

  4. Postpublished at 14:50 BST 27 April

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 165-1

The scoring rate hasn't been terribly brisk for most of this game, but Tom Westley is doing his best to advance it on this final afternoon.

Westley has just pulled a short ball from Tom Lawes for six and follows that by pulling Matt Fisher twice to the boundary as he races into the 90s.

These runs are taking the game away from Surrey, with the visitors' lead now in three figures.

  5. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 459-4 v Warwicks 459

Jordan Thompson angles one into Joe Clarke's pads and is whipped away to mid-wicket for four. Clarke is 77 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 14:44 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 454-4 v Warwicks 459

BBC WM's Richard Wilford spots that Chris Woakes is not on the field at the moment for Warwickshire. We hope that's not an injury.

Jordan Thompson will bowl the next over - 0-60 from 21 so far. The Notts lead is 274.

  7. 'Another beauty from Williams'published at 14:41 BST 27 April

    Derbys 281 & 215-8 v Glos 498

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

It was another beauty from Williams.

He got it just to straighten.

The stubborn partnership is broken, it's the one that swings the game firmly in Gloucestershire's favour.

  8. 100 partnership for Bedingham and Gaypublished at 14:40 BST 27 April

    Durham 147-2 - target 336.

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Emilio Gay and David Bedingham have added 100 runs so far for Durham's third wicket. It's come in 136 balls and keeps them on track for a successful tilt at their target of 336.

Gay has 55 and Bedingham 46. It's been a good knock from the pair, who came together in difficult circumstances earlier when it was chilly and overcast. The lights were also on at the time.

They have now been switched off and the dark clouds which sat over CLS have now blown away, to leave us with a mix of cloud and blue sky. The forecast for the remainder of the game looks good.

Durham need another 189 to win in 53 overs.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:39 BST 27 April

    Reece b Williams 50 (Derbys 281 & 215-8 v Glos 498)

The new ball is indeed taken - and brings immediate rewards for Gloucestershire!

Will Williams goes around the wicket to Luis Reece and beats his defences with one that hits the top of middle and off.

Reece raises his bat a little ruefully as he walks off - now it'll be up to Shoaib Bashir to try and help Zak Chappell prevent an innings defeat.

Seven days ago, we chose our Team Of The Week on the final day of the third round of matches.

By way of variety, this week we'd like you to assume the role of selectors and send us a 'best of' XI for round four in batting order - openers, middle order, keeper, bowlers.

Have a look across the scorecards for all seven games, then make your choice and send it to us.

To do so, use the gold/yellow button on the left of this page.

Warning: sending teams with 7 or 8 players from your preferred county will not make the cut (smiley face).

  11. 450 up for Nottspublished at 14:38 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 450-4 v Warwicks 459

Kyle Verreynne cuts off-spinner Rob Yates. There's a man on the boundary down there so it's only a single, but that's enough to take the Notts total to 450 and the partnership with Joe Clarke to 164.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Emilio Gaypublished at 14:36 BST 27 April

    Durham 141-2 – require 195 to win

    Well batted Emilio Gay.

He has been positive in everything he has done since joining the action when Durham were in a spot of bother.

His partnership alongside David Bedingham (46*) is now worth 100 runs and it has been 94 minutes since the last wicket for Lancs.

  13. 50 runs

50 for Luis Reecepublished at 14:36 BST 27 April

    Derbys 281 & 214-7 v Glos 498

    Derbyshire's Luis ReeceImage source, Shutterstock

Luis Reece reverse sweeps Ed Middleton and the ball flies to the boundary rope, taking the left-hander to his half-century.

It's the 39th of Reece's first-class career and arrives from 79 balls - now, with Derbyshire just three runs in arrears, can he and Zak Chappell stretch this game out a bit further?

Only problem is the new ball is due next over. Gloucestershire won't have to deliberate too much as to whether they want to take it...

  14. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 & 34-1 v Leics 486-7 dec

Ajaz Patel gives one a bit of air, Asa Tribe waits and times it perfectly down to the the mid-on boundary.

This may be a good ploy by Leicestershire - the pace of Josh Hull at one end and the wiles of the New Zealand spinner at the other.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 BST 27 April

    Clark c Bean b Root 93 (Yorkshire 511 v Sussex 502 & 231-5 – Sussex lead by 220 runs)

    A wicket for Joe Root!

He got one in the first innings and has a second of the match now as Tom Clark feathers one behind to Fin Bean seven short of a century.

It feels like we've have loads of batters out in the 90s in this round.

In this game, Sussex lead by 222 runs.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Dean Elgarpublished at 14:30 BST 27 April

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 138-1

Essex's Dean ElgarImage source, Getty Images

Perfect timing by Dean Elgar as he steers Matthew Fisher for an off-side boundary that takes him to his half-century from 128 balls.

It's Elgar's second of the match, following his first-innings 92 and this one is helping to guide Essex towards the safety of a draw. They now lead by 75.

  17. Postpublished at 14:29 BST 27 April

    Notts 279 & 445-4 v Warwicks 459

444-4 - is that quadruple nelson? That might have had late umpire David Shepherd hopping about.

Joe Clarke takes a single and spoils the numerical sequence.

  18. Postpublished at 14:27 BST 27 April

    Derbys 281 & 203-7 v Glos 498

This eighth-wicket partnership is now threatening to force Gloucestershire to bat a second time.

Luis Reece and Zak Chappell have added 38 so far and they need just another 14 to reach parity.

The new ball is due in two overs' time and Gloucestershire will be hoping that proves decisive.

  19. Postpublished at 14:25 BST 27 April

    Glamorgan 440 & 24-1 v Leics 586-7 dec

Josh Hull is the quickest member of this Leicestershire by quite a distance. His face wears an expression which suggests he means business, but the umpire rules no bat was involved as a catch lobs up to short leg via Zain ul-Hassan's pad.

Writing in response to the sad news this afternoon of the retirement of Surrey's Cameron Steel. A fantastic man who has always been an utter pro and carried himself with a quiet dignity. All the best for what's next Cam, your leggies will be missed by us all.

1002/21 at the time of writing at The Oval, absolutely bonkers for April. But for some reason nobody complains about flat tracks the way they complain about turners.
