  1. Eng 127-6published at 27 overs

A wicket maiden for Nensi Patel!

That's good news in any white-ball innings, let alone one with reduced overs.

Charlie Dean can't score off her first four deliveries, the England captain will need to get going rather rapidly.

That's one of Nensi Patel's real strengths, very accurate, aiming at the stumps. Dani Gibson tried to give herself room, maybe got a little bit frustrated that she hasn't got a few balls away already.

    Gibson b Patel 2 (Eng 127-6)

    Now Dani Gibson departs!

She steps back to try and cut Nensi Patel through the off side and is clean bowled instead.

England have lost three wickets for four runs and New Zealand are very much on top now.

  4. Eng 127-5published at 26 overs

Amy Jones comes out to join Dani Gibson.

The pair of new batters exchange a couple of leg side singles.

It was a simple catch from Izzy Sharp, it went straight to her. A soft dismissal for Alice Capsey. This is what happens to England at the moment, they lose wickets in clusters.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25.2 overs

    Capsey c Sharp b Mair 45 (Eng 125-5)

There goes England's other set batter.

Alice Capsey tries to crack Rosemary Mair through the covers but her contact is a little high on the bat.

The ball spoons up for a simple catch for Izzy Sharp.

Capsey looks annoyed - it's her second-highest score in ODIs, but she'll have fancied pushing on to the end of the innings.

  7. Eng 123-4published at 25 overs

Out comes Dani Gibson - she can't score off the final ball of Melie Kerr's over.

Prior to the wicket, Alice Capsey added a four by slog-sweeping through a gap between two fielders at square leg.

That's the pressure that Melie Kerr brings. She's bowled a lot of dot balls since the resumption of the game. Freya Kemp was trying something different but unfortunately didn't get hold of it.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 24.5 overs

    Kemp c Mair b M Kerr 20 (Eng 123-4)

Ah, a crack in the foundations of the platform.

Freya Kemp skips down the wicket and tries to launch Melie Kerr down the ground.

She doesn't get enough on it and Rosemary Mair makes good ground from long-on to take a tumbling catch.

Alice Capsey is playing really nicely. She's looked really fluent since she first came in.

  11. Eng 117-3published at 24 overs

Alice Capsey sends Nensi Patel's first ball out to mid-wicket and hurries through a second run, beating the throw to the keeper relatively comfortably.

A further two past point brings up the 50 partnership off 51 balls - that's the platform set.

Alice Capsey has to stop going back to full deliveries or she'll find herself in trouble. She's wanting to play off the back foot but Melie Kerr knows that and is bowling fuller.

  13. Eng 110-3published at 23 overs

Melie Kerr reels it back in - just two singles off her six deliveries.

She has figures of 0-23 from four overs thus far.

This is almost like an opportunity to do a bit of T20 practice here. You find yourself three down with 11 overs to go. Two new balls so the ball is roughly the same age as it would be in a T20.

  15. Eng 108-3published at 22 overs

    There's the boundary!

Freya Kemp takes a single off the first ball of new bowler Nensi Patel's over to bring up England's hundred.

That brings Alice Capsey on strike and she immediately cuts to backward point, where Jess Kerr has a bit of shocker and dives over the ball, allowing it to head to the ropes.

  17. Eng 99-3published at 21 overs

Melie Kerr is doing a good job of tying up an end, sevens runs off her over but still no boundaries.

12 overs to go, England will need to think about acceleration soon.

  18. Eng 92-3published at 20 overs

No boundaries for England since the restart.

Freya Kemp picks up twos off either end of Rosemary Mair's first over, but can't find the fence.

  19. Eng 86-3published at 19 overs

Captain Melie Kerr takes the other end - New Zealand have only used four bowlers thus far.

Five singles off the leg-break bowler's first over post-resumption.
