Northants 234-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

Louis Kimber has not faced much of Will Williams in this innings and he wisely leaves an away swinger alone outside off.

His off stump is exposed a bit as he blocks the next ball to extra cover.

Fuller, driven through extra cover for four! 15 to win.

Northants 230-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

A single to Louis Kimber off Graeme Van Buuren to extra cover.

Lewis McManus lives a bit dangerously playing back to try and get the ball away but there's no run and he survives the over.

Northants 229-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

20 to win. Will Williams to continue the bowling from this end and a leg gully comes in plus a fine leg for Lewis McManus.

McManus misses with a late cut and the ball is taken by keeper James Bracey! A slip comes in.

A lovely in-swinger is blocked down the ground.

Maiden over once again from Williams.

  6. Bears target at 'outer limit'published at 13:19 BST 18 May

    Warwickshire 252 & 16-0 v Glamorgan 360 & 260 - lunch

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

The result of Kiran Carlson’s overnight deliberations about a possible declaration time was to allow Glamorgan’s second innings almost to reach a natural conclusion.

Only when nine wickets were down did the instruction to get on or get out arrive, and when Ryan Hadley was caught slogging in the next over the equation left was 368 in 75 overs.

That feels at the outer limit of what might be chaseable, even given the short boundary to the Hollies side of Edgbaston this week.

The lateral movement still evident this morning will increase the difficulty tariff on that chase if Glamorgan can maintain it this afternoon.

Before the start, both teams observed a minute’s silent tribute to Mike Smith – universally identified throughout his long service to the game as MJK – whose death at 92 was announced this morning.

Warwickshire’s players are wearing black armbands today as a mark of respect to a man who was one of the club’s most significant personalities, both during his playing career and for decades afterwards.

Northants 229-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

Four fielders on the boundary for left arm spinner Graeme Van Buuren and Louis Kimber takes an easy single to long leg.

Lewis McManus moves across his stumps and gets one to mid off.

A Kimber slog sweep cloths the ball to the leg side for one more.

    A leg bye in fact.

One more to McManus to mid off - and that's the 50 partnership between this pair.

Will Williams tries to tempt Lewis McManus into a drive wide of off and McManus resists for now.

Back of a length now and McManus defends on the up.

Another maiden over from Williams. Gloucestershire turn to spin and Graeme Van Buuren.

  10. Sussex need to show grit and resolvepublished at 13:14 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 253 & 65-2

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

A torrid morning for Sussex who lost their two remaining first innings wickets inside four overs, and then both openers to loose shots before lunch.

The Sussex first innings collapse of 7-49 will give Somerset the belief that they can inflict similar damage this afternoon.

Sussex will need to show grit, determination and resolve not apparent in the first innings if they are to salvage a draw, which in the circumstances will feel like a win, but that's a long way off at the moment.

A reminder that lunch is delayed to 1330 BST here.

A slip in for Craig Miles, bowling to Lewis McManus.

McManus turns the ball of his hip for one to long leg.

It's getting darker here. Please... just no. Louis Kimber is surprised by a back of a length ball that rears up and hits him on the glove.

    The ball lands safely.

Short and pulled to Joe Phillips, who parries the ball in the air... Matt Taylor can't quite get to it but he has saved five runs.

Single to McManus clipped through mid wicket.

Short and Kimber punches through cover for four! 24 to win and the umpires are having a chat...

  13. Lunch at Lord'spublished at 13:07 BST 18 May

    Middlesex 177 & 320 v Derbyshire 376 & 37-1

No further alarms for Derbyshire following Luis Reece's dismissal and they go into lunch requiring another 85 for victory.

Middlesex added 42 to their overnight 278-8 before being bowled out, leaving the visitors with a target of just 122.

Both fell to Nick Potts so Ben Aitchison did not add to his eight wickets - and a century - in the match.

Harry Came is 20 not out for Derbyshire, and Matt Montgomery has yet to score.

  14. Postpublished at 13:07 BST 18 May

Northants 218-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

Lewis McManus picks up his first boundary, clipping Craig Miles through square leg for four.

Matt Taylor is at the other end and a full ball is driven down the ground by Louis Kimber for two. Northants need 31.

Kimber is caught on the crease and struck on the pad but that's too leg side.

Lunch at Southport and Worcestershire lead by 66 runs with eight wickets still remaining as this match looks set to head to a draw.

Lancashire captain James Anderson decided to declare before we started at a delayed time of 11:30am and after Worcestershire made a strong start to their second innings, Anderson struck twice in quick succession.

He trapped Jake Libby lbw bang in front before getting Gareth Roderick caught at first slip by Keaton Jennings for a second-ball duck.

There are 65 overs left still in the day. Dan Lategan remains 31 not out while Kashif Ali is 11 not out.

  16. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 13:04 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 65-2 f/o

It's a real pea-souper of a day here and we've done very well to get a full session of play.

Craig Overton bowls short to Tom Clark, who weaves out of the way.

The fourth ball is worked away to leg for one.

Jack Leaning is struck on the pad barely out of the crease but it's too high for LBW.

Leaning survives and that's lunch. Excellent session for Somerset, who have taken four wickets in the session, two from this innings with Sussex following on.

    Potts c Benjamin b Singh 23 (Kent 523 v Durham 288-9)

We are going to have an extended session at Beckenham after Durham lose their ninth wicket.

Having already hit four fours, Matthew Potts tries to pull a ball from Ekansh Singh and skies it into the air off somewhere near the toe end, allowing keeper Chris Benjamin to come forward and take the catch.

Durham are 235 behind as Callum Parkinson comes to the middle.

  18. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:02 BST 18 May

Warwickshire 16-0 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 352 more runs to win)

    That is lunch at Edgbaston.

Alex Davies and Rob Yates have negotiated the eight overs before the interval without too many scares.

Still requiring plenty, the priority for the Bears with two sessions remaining is to ensure they do not give their wickets away lightly.

Glamorgan's bowling unit have 67 overs remaining in the day to claim all ten Warwickshire wickets and victory.

  19. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 64-2 f/o

Maiden over for Craig Overton and we'll have time for at least one more over here before lunch.

Archie Vaughan will continue with his off spin from the River End.

He's really hustling through this over. Jack Leaning defends.

Maiden over and we have time for one more.
