Warwickshire 27-0 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 341 more runs to win)

Alex Davies lived a little dangerously there.

Facing Timm van der Gugten, he pops a leading edge over the head of the bowler. The ball drops safely, but a hurried single is taken.

The mid-off fielder comes round, shies at the stumps, takes the bails, but the diving Davies is adjudged to have made his ground.

Two runs to win. Two wickets to win. Goodness me.

Matt Taylor is on for Will Williams. One slip in for McManus.

Clipped through square leg! Four! Northants win! That's their second win of the season and their first away from home.

A dramatic victory for Northants, who keep the pressure on Durham in the top half of the table.

Gloucestershire were in the ascendancy with the wicket of Nathan Mcsweeney, adding just five runs to his overnight 41 before being prized out by Will Williams.

Williams bowled eight maiden overs in a metronomic 2-55.

Louis Kimber played a superb counter-attack with a bit of risk for a 69-ball 66 before chopping on to Graeme van Buuren.

Lewis McManus holds his nerve to see Northants over the line.

    And breathe...

Ben Sanderson ducks a bouncer to see out the over. The spotlight switches to Lewis McManus, facing left arm spinner Graeme Van Buuren.

McManus defends down the ground and tries to force one away off the back foot. No run.

Full! Driven to long off! Shy at the stumps and Joe Phillips misses! He did well to save the boundary.

We are underway in the afternoon session at Edgbaston and Rob Yates has struck the first two deliveries of Tom Norton for four runs apiece.

The first is a cover drive which is mis-fielded by captain Kiran Carlson, and the second is short, on the legs and pulled away to the longest boundary.

  8. Afternoon session starts at Southportpublished at 13:41 BST 18 May

    Lancs v Worcs 77-2 - lead by 66 runs

Tom Hartley will continue after bowling one over just before lunch and we are back under way in Southport.

Northants 243-8 - target 249 to beat Gloucs

Now then... Will Williams to bowl to Ben Sanderson. Short and the Northants number 10 ducks it.

Williams appears to lose his delivery stride and aborts. Dead ball.

Full and turned to square leg for one.

  15. Lunch at Beckenhampublished at 13:36 BST 18 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 322-9

Ben Raine pulls Keith Dudgeon for four as an extended morning session finally comes to an end.

There must have been some concerned faces in the Durham dressing room when David Bedingham was out in the early minutes of the final day's play, leaving them on 175-6.

But Ben Stokes and Kasey Aldridge used up overs - and time - in adding 70 before both departed in successive James Taylor overs.

Stokes was not happy with the stroke which brought about his downfall on 45, dragging the ball into his stumps, but Durham survive to the interval, although still 201 behind.
