    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 86-3 f/o

Runs for James Coles, clipping Craig Overton through mid wicket for four.

Somerset stay on the attack with three slips in for host captain Lewis Gregory.

He oversteps with the third ball of his 10th over and it looks like left arm spinner Jack Leach will be on soon, unless he's limbering up simply to keep warm.

    Kent 523 v Durham 329-9

Callum Parkinson shows brother Matt little respect as he sweeps him over square leg for four. The deficit is now 194.

  3. How long can Durham eke this out for?published at 14:19 BST 18 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 322-9

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The last Durham pair have resumed their first innings and it is a case of seeing how long they can bat on for this afternoon.

Ben Raine and Callum Parkinson added 33 runs in the run up to lunch - a lunch which was delayed by half an hour with the last pair at the crease.

Parkinson has been facing the spin bowling of his twin brother Matt and hit him for a big four over long-on just before the break.

Durham need to reach 374 to avoid the follow-on. The next batting point is 28 runs away, while Kent have taken the three bowling points on offer.

Given so much time has been lost to the weather I am sure Kent would enforce the follow-on. However the weather forecast has been telling us for hours there's an 80 to 90% chance of rain at the moment and the sun is out!

    Hose b Hartley 0 (Lancs v Worcs 90-4 - lead by 79 runs)

And another for Tom Hartley! Two in the over and this one is a beauty.

Straight through the gate of Adam Hose, who holds the pose while his middle stump is dislodged.

Great drift generated from the left-arm spinner. If the first was a gift, the second was a gem.

  6. 50 runs

50 up for the Bearspublished at 14:15 BST 18 May

Warwickshire 52-0 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 316 more runs to win)

Alex Davies brings up 50 for Warwickshire in what proved to be an eventful over.

He firstly is left to recover from a delivery by Timm van der Gugten which strikes him in the unmentionables, and then survives an LBW appeal which replays suggest was a good call from the umpire.

The next ball is firmly driven straight, and Davies and Rob Yates come back for a third run.

  7. Postpublished at 14:14 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 79-3 f/o

Appeal for caught behind by Lewis Gregory and in fairness that looked close but in fact only flicking the front pad.

Tom Clark survives a probing over. Maiden.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:13 BST 18 May

    Kashif c Singh b Hartley 16 (Lancs v Worcs 90-3 - lead by 79)

Chipped to mid-wicket. What a soft dismissal.

Kashif Ali won't want to watch this one again and he is rather slowly heading off the field as he thinks of his excuses to his teammates and coach.

It's a full-toss from Tom Hartley which Kashif sends straight to Harry Singh who makes a simple catch without having to move a muscle.

  9. Postpublished at 14:12 BST 18 May

    Derbys 64-1 - target 122

Eathan Bosch bustles in but that's too short and Matt Montgomery pulls it for four. Derbyshire over half-way to their target now.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:09 BST 18 May

    Leaning c Ogborne b Overton 4 (Somerset v Sussex 79-3 f/o - trail by 194)

A leading edge from Jack Leaning and he has to go.

A pretty innocuous dismissal in truth. With the final ball of Craig Overton's over, Leaning can only pop the ball up to mid-wicket who comes round to his left to make a simple catch.

James Coles walks to the middle for Sussex.

  11. Postpublished at 14:05 BST 18 May

    Somerset v Sussex 75-2 f/o - trail by 198

Lewis Gregory is really getting some nice swing to move the ball away from left-hander Tom Clark.

He is pulled up for a front foot no-ball but that was an absolute peach of a delivery to miss the outside edge by an inch or so.

  12. 100 runs

100 up for Hampshirepublished at 14:05 BST 18 May

    Hampshire 101-5 & 214 v Notts 229

Hampshire bring up their 100 in the first over after the resumption.

Jake Lehmann moves onto 40 with a deft flick off the legs when facing Josh Tongue and the ball runs to the boundary behind square leg.

  13. Play to resume at Southamptonpublished at 14:02 BST 18 May

    Hampshire 97-5 & 214 v Notts 229

After an extended delay, during which there was also the lunch interval, we are due to finally get going again at the Utilita Bowl where Hampshire are fighting to keep out champions Nottinghamshire.

They will begin again in the next few minutes on 97-5, leading only in the second innings by 82 but with Jake Lehmann still there on 36.

Notts, of course, will aim to remove these remaining wickets and limit the chase to as small a total as possible this afternoon and evening.

  14. Postpublished at 14:00 BST 18 May

    Lancs v Worcs 88-2 - lead by 77

Driven away through the off side by Kashif Ali into the off side for a couple.

Lancashire could do with a quick breakthrough after lunch to make this match interesting again and James Anderson, around the wicket, just misses the outside edge of Dan Lategan.

50 up for Derbyshirepublished at 13:59 BST 18 May

    Derbyshire 57-1 - target 122

Derbyshire bring up 50 in their chase with successive fours - one signalled leg byes, the other is a lovely shot through backward square leg by Harry Came.

Derbyshire are ever closer to sealing victory.

  17. Postpublished at 13:55 BST 18 May

Warwickshire 35-0 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 333 more runs to win)

Alex Davies has taken Tom Norton for a couple of boundaries in his most recent over.

The first is an over-pitched delivery and clipped nonchalantly through mid-wicket. The second is driven through point.

Timm van der Gugten, in possession of the ball at the other end, has been typically metronomic.

  18. Postpublished at 13:54 BST 18 May

    Somerset v Sussex 71-2 - trail by 202

Did this carry? It may have dropped just short of a diving third slip.

Good bowling around the wicket by Craig Overton - it would have been a screamer from Archie Vaughan in the cordon.

Big outside edge from Tom Clark, who has just had a bat change, and he breathes a sigh of relief.

"They've lost three of four pretty narrowly."
