50 for Louis Kimberpublished at 12:56 BST 18 May

Northants 211-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

The field is a bit more attacking for Lewis McManus with a slip and a backward gully.

McManus pushes Craig Miles out to cover - where the ball is stopped by Joe Phillips.

A leg side ball is turned to backward square for a single.

Short! Louis Kimber flashes the ball away to deep third.

There's nobody there and that's four!

Kimber has 50 off 44 balls with nine fours and a six. Some knock.

Warwickshire 8-0 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 360 more runs to win)

It has been a pretty watchful beginning to the innings for Warwickshire's opening pair, Alex Davies and Rob Yates.

There was an intrigue as to how they might go about the chase, requiring around five runs per over, in the early overs - do they guard against the loss of early wickets, or look to apply pressure to the Glamorgan bowling unit?

So far they have proceeded with caution.

Northants 204-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

In the absence of the injured Gabe Bell it does feel like Matt Taylor (seven wickets in the match to date) holds the key for Gloucestershire.

He bowls back of a length to Lewis McManus, who blocks down the ground.

Craig Miles is back on in place of Luke Charlesworth from the Ashley Down Road End.

A leg stump half volley is clipped past mid wicket by Louis Kimber for four. 200 up in the 62nd over and four fielders are on the boundary.

A fierce drive is stopped by Cam Bancroft at cover. Did that carry?

    Not quite.

A leg side ball is clipped just past Ollie Price at short mid wicket for one and Kimber has 45 from 40.

    Stokes b Taylor 45 (Kent 523 v Durham 262-8)

    Gone.

Ben Stokes throws the lot at a ball from James Taylor without much foot movement and inside edges into his stumps.

He looks to the heavens as the prospect of a first 50 of the summer disappears.

  8. Postpublished at 12:44 BST 18 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 261-7

Ben Raine is in a hurry - he is down the track to drive Matt Parkinson for four and then swings the next one through mid-wicket for another.

Yorkshire have won by an innings for the first time in a decade and what a superb team performance it has been.

You would do well to see a better all-round team performance than that this County Championship season.

George Hill cleans up by bowling Dan Worrall for 18 - taking his off stump on the drive.

A proper win for the White Rose and what a way to go into the T20 campaign. They have completely outplayed Surrey over three and a bit days.

Yorkshire claim 23 points, Surrey just the two.

The match started with centuries from Jonny Bairstow and Adam Lyth after Surrey captain Rory Burns won the toss and put the hosts into bat. Yorkshire put on 486 in total and then bowled Surrey all out for 204 with Hill starring with four-for as Bairstow enforced Surrey to follow-on.

On a rain-affected day three, Harry Brook was given the ball and he took 3-11 yesterday evening. The home side then skittled through the tail in the first session this morning and that is that.

A big reality check for Surrey who suffer their first defeat of the season.

    Derbys 32-0 - target 122

There are two men out on the leg-side boundary but Luis Reece finds the middle of the gap between them as he punishes a short ball from Naavya Sharma - the first four of his innings. Another 90 needed for the win by Derbyshire.

Worrall is 18* off just 12. Sean Abbott then fires through point for four to move onto 2 not out.

    That brings up Surrey's 150.

Kimber in the moodpublished at 12:37 BST 18 May

Northants 199-7 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

Matt Taylor is a touch leg side and a clip to leg from Lewis McManus is well stopped at mid wicket. Maiden over.

A loose clip to mid wicket from Louis Kimber and the ball just evades Craig Miles to short mid wicket and runs away for four.

Slip comes out and mid wicket goes deeper. Full and driven down the ground for four now!

Leg side... clipped over mid wicket for six! That's in the carpark.

    14 off the over.

Second slip catch of the morning for Tawanda Muyeye as James Taylor breaks Durham's stubborn seventh-wicket partnership.

Aldridge batted well in adding 70 in 20 overs with Ben Stokes, who is 40 not out and has now been joined by Ben Raine.

  16. Postpublished at 12:35 BST 18 May

  17. Postpublished at 12:34 BST 18 May

    Yorkshire v Surrey 139-9 f/o - trail by 143 runs

Well, Dan Worrall is going to enjoy himself it seems here.

He attempts an on-drive which squirts uppishly to the right of the slip cordon.

Worrall then lobs away over mid-on for a second boundary in the over. Nice shot from the last man in.

    Hampshire 97-5 & 214 v Notts 229

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 47-1 f/o

Somerset turn to spin - and here comes Archie Vaughan with a short leg and a slip.

Tom Clark defends. A bit of drift into the left-hander but little turn.

Clark is hurried a little by a quicker ball but keeps it out.

    Maiden over.
