    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 82-3

Now James Rew is off the mark from his 23rd ball as he guides it down to third man for four off Fergus O'Neill.

Perhaps that's being a little kind. It may be more thick edge than placement.

  2. Postpublished at 11:30 BST 14 June

    Lancs 2-0 - target 424

Lancashire's attempt at a huge run chase begins.

In fact, this would be a record run chase for Lancashire if they can pull it off.

Matt Milnes bowls the first over for Kent.

Just the two runs from it with Keaton Jennings and Harry Singh picking up a single apiece.

  3. Postpublished at 11:29 BST 14 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 78-3

A few tight overs from Notts and Somerset haven't really got the scoreboard moving since losing that third wicket.

James Rew is yet to get off the mark from 20 balls.

  4. Postpublished at 11:29 BST 14 June

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 118-4

Derbyshire equal their first-innings total as Ben Raine tries to dig one into the ribs of nightwatch Nick Potts, but he moves inside the line and glances down to fine leg for four.

  5. 250 runs

First batting point for Gloucestershirepublished at 11:27 BST 14 June

    Northants 465 v Gloucs 251-7

Kristian Clarke survives an lbw appeal from Saif Zaib who is after a third wicket today.

He then takes a single to bring up a first batting point for the visitors - but it's been expensive in terms of wickets.

Daaryoush Ahmed is then off the mark with the final ball of the over to keep the strike.

  6. Postpublished at 11:25 BST 14 June

    Leics 187 & 72-0 Essex 401

Jamie Porter looks to have found his range after an unusually expensive start to the second innings. His first six overs had gone for 33 runs.

He slides one past Rishi Patel's outside edge which draws a few oohs from the Essex slips. Maiden.

Time for Simon Harmer to enter the fray after 19 overs.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:24 BST 14 June

    Barker b Ali 21 (Warwickshire 243-8 v Yorkshire 469

Hassan Ali makes the breakthrough as Keith Barker misses one that seems to keep low.

Warwickshire are still 77 away from the follow on target but BBC Yorkshire commentator David Townsend doesn't think Jonny Bairstow will enforce.

    Jordan Cox celebratesImage source, Shutterstock

Not right that Jordan Cox is taken in the middle of the match against Leicestershire. What difference would 2 days make? Surely playing in a match is good preparation for a test match he probably won’t get picked for on Weds anyway!!!!

    John, Chatteris

Just how many players do England need in their squad? Disrupting county games without a second thought just to accommodate McCullum’s ‘Vibe’ selections.

    Terry, Wirral

Jordan Cox has joined up with the England Test squad after scoring 204 for Essex against Leicestershire. He's been replaced in the Essex side by Michael Pepper.

  9. 50 runs

for Harry Camepublished at 11:18 BST 14 June

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 110-4

A great way to get to 50 for Harry Came as he strokes an overpitched delivery from Matthew Potts elegantly through the covers for four.

It has taken him 129 balls and Durham need another 149 runs to clear the deficit and avoid an innings defeat.

  10. wicket

KENT ALL OUT FOR 332published at 11:17 BST 14 June

    Mahmud c Moores b Bailey 4 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 332)

The Kent second innings comes to an end.

Tom Bailey finds the edge of Hasan Mahmud's bat and he's caught behind by young wicketkeeper Joe Moores.

Lancashire will need to knock off a mammoth 424 runs to win this match.

    A huge ask.

  11. Postpublished at 11:17 BST 14 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 50-0

A thick inside edge by Zain ul Hassan off Sean Hunt brings him two runs and takes Glamorgan's total to 50. The deficit is now 316.

  12. Cathedral bells ring at Worcesterpublished at 11:17 BST 14 June

    Middx 339 & 16-0 v Worcs 265

Worcester cathedral towering in the background ahead of preparations for play at New Road
    Image caption,

Worcester cathedral overlooking the New Road ground.

A lively over from Tom Taylor as he beats the bat of Sam Robson twice and gets a couple to lift on him.

But the Middlesex opening pair remain intact and they lead by 90.

The Worcester cathedral bells have been peeling across the ground calling the faithful to church and perhaps also heralding what promises to be an exciting days cricket at New Road.

  13. wicket

    Taylor c Bartlett b Zaib 15 (Northants 465 v Gloucs 240-7)

A second wicket for Saif Zaib this morning!

It's another poor shot as Gloucestershire's set batter Jack Taylor looks to smack him down the ground, but miscues.

It goes straight up in the air and gives Bartlett a simple catch at mid-on.

Daaryoush Ahmed is the new man.

  14. Postpublished at 11:16 BST 14 June

    Leics 187 & 71-0 Essex 401

Jamie Porter strays on to the pads and it's a gift for Rishi Patel as he dispatches a half-volley to the rope.

He races to 40 and Leicestershire have started at a real zip.

  15. Postpublished at 11:12 BST 14 June

    Leics 187 & 64-0 Essex 401

    Sheridon GumbsImage source, Shutterstock

A nice start from Leicestershire debutant Sheridon Gumbs as he employs soft hands to guide his first ball of the day down to third man for four.

He then picks up four more from Jamie Porter to move to 24.

Rishi Patel then picks up his first boundary of day three, off Shane Snater's second over, to go to 33.

  16. Postpublished at 11:12 BST 14 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 48-0

Maiden from Jaydev Unadkat, who you'd imagine will pose the biggest threat to Glamorgan after his four wickets in the first innings.

He needed treatment yesterday, though, after being struck a painful blow on the body while batting and Sussex will hope he is not hampered by that.

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 77-3

Well that isn't a shot of a nightwatchman... Alfie Ogborne plays a lovely cover drive off Fergus O'Neill to push it away for four - though not without help from Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed who misfields and allows it to run through.

Hameed is usually very reliable in the field to be fair to him.

  18. wicket

    Van Buuren c Weatherall b Zaib 76 (Northants 465 v Gloucs 235-6)

    Gloucestershire's key batter has gone!

Saif Zaib opens up with some finger spin. His first ball is a waist-high full toss - a loosener.

Graeme van Buuren looks to give it the treatment but cloths it straight to Raphael Weatherall. Not a shot he will look back on fondly.

Northants have a wicket with the old ball and Kristian Clarke is in.

You'd have thought Glamorgan need to bat five sessions to save this match.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:06 BST 14 June

    Benjamin c Singh b Anderson 103 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 325-9)

Jimmy Anderson does the trick again and that's just the wicket Lancashire needed!

Chris Benjamin has a go at one outside off and edges to Harry Singh in the slips.

A fine knock from the Kent number six comes to an end, scoring 103 from 85 balls with six fours and five sixes.

No more fireworks today from Benjamin.
