  1. Gloucestershire bowled out for 268published at 11:55 BST 14 June

    Clarke lbw b Conway 21 (Northants 465 v Gloucs 268)

Gloucestershore fall in a heap, losing their last three wickets in the space of seven balls.

Kristian Clarke steps across his stumps looking to work Harry Conway into the legside but misses and the ball thuds into his back pad. Plumb.

Northants seal a 197 lead on first innings but may well refuse the follow on and bat again.

  2. Postpublished at 11:53 BST 14 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 91-3

Remarkable stuff from Notts bowler Brett Hutton.

He's just completed a seventh maiden over in a row, once again bowling six dots to James Rew, who has 5 from 43 balls.

    Taylor b Guthrie 2 (Northants 465 v Gloucs 268-9)

Two in an over for Liam Guthrie.

Matt Taylor aims at an expansive drive at a ball which shapes back in through the gate and hits top of off, knocking the stump out of the ground.

No finer sight for a bowler. Guthrie has 4-50.

Will Williams is Gloucestershire's last hope in their first knock.

    Lancs 12-0 - target 424

Perfect timing from Lancashire opener Harry Singh to push Keith Dudgeon away for four with a back foot drive square of the track on the offside.

  5. Postpublished at 11:48 BST 14 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 91-3

Somerset nightwatchman Alfie Ogborne moves into double figures, tickling a nice shot down to long leg for four off Dillon Pennington.

Not doing too bad a job for a supposed tailender. Frustrating runs for Notts to concede.

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 66-0

Jaydev Unadkat quickly back into the attack for Sussex.

Their over-rate isn't great so we are likely to see quite a bit of spin - giving James Coles a chance to see what he can do with the ball following his brilliant double hundred yesterday.

    Ahmed lbw b Guthrie 8 (Northants 465 v Gloucs 266-8)

The new ball does the trick!

Liam Guthrie joins the attack and has an instant impact. His first ball is fullish and seams back into the pad of Daz Ahmed. He goes for eight.

Matt Taylor joins Kristian Clarke (21) and Gloucs are still 49 short of avoiding the follow-on mark.

  8. new ball

New ballpublished at 11:46 BST 14 June

    Northants 465 v Gloucs 266-7

Northants take the second new ball for the 85th over and it's thrown to Harry Conway.

The radar isn't quite working at its best as Jack Clarke guides his third for two and then takes a single.

  9. Postpublished at 11:46 BST 14 June

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 121-4

We've had 45 minutes of play and Derbyshire's overnight pair - Harry Came and Nick Potts - are still together.

Durham have now turned to Kasey Aldridge, who produced a five-for in the first innings, to relieve Ben Raine.

  10. Postpublished at 11:45 BST 14 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 87-3

A great over by Brett Hutton to James Rew and that's another maiden. Hutton has now bowled six maidens on the bounce this morning. Astonishing.

Slightly slow going for Somerset in this first session.

  11. 250 runs

250 up for Warwickshirepublished at 11:45 BST 14 June

    Warwickshire 253-9 v Yorkshire 469

It's been hard work but Warwickshire have finally secured a batting bonus point.

Ed Barnard has led the way. Yorkshire have been keeping the Bears captain off strike but he continues to accumulate and a leg glance takes his score to 73 and his team beyond 250.

  12. Postpublished at 11:42 BST 14 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 62-0

Too much width from Tom Price and Asa Tribe stands tall before cracking it away past point for four runs. He is 35 not out.

    Bamber lbw Ali 2 (Warwickshire 249-9 v Yorkshire 469)

Ethan Bamber falls forward as the ball hits him low on the pads to give Hassan Ali his second wicket of the day and his third of the innings.

It gives Yorkshire the full tally of eight bonus points for the first time in over a year. They last did it against Worcestershire at Headingley in April 2025.

Rishi Patel goes down on one knee and sweeps Simon Harmer to the square leg boundary to move to 50.

    It's the 17th red-ball half-century of his career.

The milestone has come off a healthy 81 balls and is just what the hosts needed. Nice counter-attack here.

  15. Postpublished at 11:40 BST 14 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 87-3

Another lovely shot by Somerset nightwatchman Alfie Ogborne as he pushes a cover drive for two from Fergus O'Neill.

Ogborne is 8* from 45 balls, while James Rew is on 5 from 31 balls.

    Lancs 7-0 - target 424

If you're wondering the size of the task that faces Lancashire, then here are a few stats for you:

    • The highest fourth-innings total by Lancashire in their history was 464 against Surrey at the Oval in 2004. They lost by 24 runs and that defeat meant Sussex secured the title with Lancashire finishing second.
    • Lancashire's highest successful run chase was 404-5 way back in 1910 against Hampshire at the County Ground in Southampton.
    • If they knock off 424 against Kent, it will be the highest run chase in their history.

    Leics 187 & 82-0 Essex 401

    There's confidence.

Simon Harmer skips in and Sheridon Gumbs is on the back foot and drives confidently through the covers for his sixth boundary to go to 29.

In the next over, Rishi Patel shows a little flamboyance as he lofts Jamie Porter over mid-on for four more to go to 46.

  18. Postpublished at 11:33 BST 14 June

    Northants 465 v Gloucs 256-7

The new ball is due, but Northants decide to hold off as Calvin Harrison gets a bowl.

Kristian Clarke times it nicely to pick up a single, and Daaryoush Ahmed is on the back foot to pick up another run off the final ball.

Saif Zaib to continue. Still we wait for the new cherry.

  19. Postpublished at 11:33 BST 14 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 59-0

Early change by Sussex with Jaydev Unadkat given only three overs in his opening burst by skipper Tom Haines - all of them maidens.

Tom Price takes over as Sussex seek their first breakthrough of the morning.

Lancashire's first boundary of their second innings and it goes to Harry Singh in slightly fortunate fashion, edging Keith Dudgeon through the slips and away for four.

Singh then plays a more measured shot to flick off his legs for a single out to deep square leg.
