Adil Rashid is playing his 150th T20 international, only the second England player to reach the milestone after Jos Buttler (160 matches) and just the sixth player overall. Adil Rashid's 168 T20I wickets are the second-most by any bowler, only behind Rashid Khan's 193 wickets.

India need 99 runs from 30 balls

In the slot and hammered to the long-on boundary. Four more to Shivam Dube.

India are a long way off it. There's been a lot of criticism in India and I am not surprised because this team has done so well over the past years so the expectations were so high. There's a lot of disappointed people.

  4. Ind 153-4published at 14.4 overs

Shivam Dube looks distressed that a bouncer from Josh Tongue - which looked to be well over head height - is not signalled wide. The batter responds with a nice pull for four.

India must be rueing the dropped catches. Might have a much closer contest. Great fielding and tight bowling by England.

  6. Ind 147-4published at 14 overs

India need 111 from 36 balls

It appears as so England will go top of the T20 rankings. Can we get a World Cup organised for next week?

England have played very well (temperament wise they are far better suited to T20 than Test matches), but let’s not get carried away, they have been allowed to play well. India have looked out of sorts and have been inexplicably poor both against Ireland and England.

    Charles, Devon

I'm supporting England but it so much more enjoyable to have India putting up a fight.

    Jane, Westbury

Is it an actual rule of cricket that after a drop the next ball goes to the boundary?

That was textbook from Tilak Varma - a lovely sound off the bat.

  9. Ind 144-4published at 13.3 overs

    Target 258

Up and over! Tilak Varma plays a delightful drive straight down the ground for six. A bit overpitched by Jofra Archer but fantastic execution from Varma. He takes a moment to admire his work.

If we had a pound for every time there was a dropped then next ball goes for a boundary we would be very rich men.

  11. dropped catch

Dube dropped by Brookpublished at 13 overs

    Ind 136-4

Ah! Shivam Dube is in and almost out as Harry Brook spills an easy grab at extra cover.

Tilak Varma finds the boundary at deep mid-wicket. Adil Rashid looks gutted.

This is where England have been so good in this series but particularly today. Their ground fielding has been phenomenal compared to India's effort which was nowhere near their best. The one man India didn't want to lose was Ishan Kishan with two new batters at the crease.

Another example of England's brilliant fielding. Phil Salt knew exactly where the boundary was.

    Kishan c Salt b Rashid 56 (Ind 131-4)

India are four down as Phil Salt takes a very good catch.

Ishan Kishan slog-sweeps Adil Rashid and pretty much middles it, but Phil Salt - running from deep mid-wicket - does the rest.

    Terrific fielding.

India have maybe been guilty of just a blanket approach with their batting. Whether a Shubman Gill would have made a difference is questionable. But if you look how India have gone about it these five games it's lacked planning.

  16. Ind 131-3published at 12.3 overs

Adil Rashid sticks out his left foot to save some runs off his own bowling - a bit of footwork the nation's footballers would be proud of.

India need boundaries but are being stifled here a little.

Will Jacks is not getting a great deal of turn and us just trying to slide the ball on.

  18. Ind 129-3published at 12 overs

After going for 10 from his first two deliveries, Will Jack recovers well to limit India to just four singles.

India have targeted the straight boundary more often, with 40% of their runs coming in the 'V' down the ground.

  20. Ind 126-3published at 11.3 overs

Tilak Varma adjusts his body to pick the gap on the offside for four. The new India batter dances down the track for a huge six into the Shane Warne stand.
