They're appealing in the covers but nothing from the bowler and nothing from the wicketkeeper. I don't think he's anything near that. Missed it by quite a way.

  2. Eng 10-1published at 2 overs

Harry Brook skips down the pitch and hacks one at from Prasidh Krishna.

    India ponder a review.

Was there any bat on that? UltraEdge shows not.

As a seasoned cruiser, most locals know that Saturday is the main arrival/departure day in Southampton and that (depending on how many ships are in port) all the roads get gridlocked between 10am and 3pm. Maybe someone just forgot to tell the Indian team.

If England got there on time, why didn’t India? The travel to the ground would be similar for both teams, wouldn’t it?

I thought he got hold of it initially. It's the ball we're so used to him putting it into the stands. It might have just got the toe-end of the bat.

Phil Salt keeps his head nice and still and thumps Prasidh Krishna down the ground for four.

  6. Eng 4-0published at 1 over

Arshdeep Singh hits Phil Salt on the pad but it was must hit a weak spot because the England opener ends up limping around in a little bit of pain.

The difference between the two sides has been with the bat. With England, it's been smart aggression. There are periods when they know they don't go 100% and they have always have a settled batter in.

  8. Eng 3-0published at 0.4 overs

Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh with the first over for India and he finds a little bit of movement through the air as he finds some nice movement through the air.

Phil Salt and Jos Buttler work away a couple of singles.

Salt has a bit of waft at Arshdeep's fourth ball but does not make contact.

I wonder if we will see the third successive maiden over batted out by Phil Salt.

He didn't score a run in the first over of the previous two matches.

Ten days ago, I don't think anyone really expected India to perform badly as they have. You have to give credit where it's due. England have pulled themselves up from the boot laces and played some good cricket.
