Axar Patel is struck on the pads. It looks a bit leggy to me but it's given out. India review.

Presumptuous to assume England win rugby, cricket and football today?

    Paul, London

  3. Ind 193-7published at 18.3 overs

Sam Curran shares a giggle with his teammates by bowling a ball almost as slow as the Southampton traffic this morning. It was 46mph. Arshdeep Singh could have taken a few swings.

It's another wicket for Sam Curran and England are now just about home without no-balls and wides. Had it been 220 or so then India would be in the game. The mayhem created by Harry Brook and Jos Buttler just took the game away.

    Shedge c Buttler b Curran 7 (Ind 193-7)

The player of the match takes another grab and another opportunity to show us a big grin.

Suryansh Shedge top edges a pull. It goes high and behind his head and Jos Buttler continues his excellent day with a simple catch.

It is still mathematically possible for India, but highly unlikely!

A good knock by Tilak Varma and important one for him because he hasn't made many runs batting at five or six. He's someone who has to get used to this new role of his. There's a lot of things India are trying out.

Josh Tongue has been very impressive in his first T20 series. Obviously we've see him be very impressive for the Test side.

He's not been quite as good in this game because of the lack of bounce here.

    Tilak c Buttler b Tongue 53

Josh Tongue has been expensive but takes a wicket with his final ball of the series.

Tilak Verma has given it a good go but swings at a short and wide delivery and edges behind.

Tilak Varma launches Josh Tongue for a six over long-off. Lovely shot.

Six more - this time over square leg to bring up Tilak Varma's half-century.

Somebody should be serving a very long prison sentence for the fact Liam Dawson has so few caps, criminally underrated.

Josh Tongue - who went for 37 from his first three overs - returns.

A beamer is signalled a no-ball. Can Tilak Varma make the most of the free hit?

    No. Dot ball.

I dare say a T20 game has been won from this position but not many. Perhaps a club game somewhere?

  14. Ind 173-5published at 17 overs

Tilak Varma drives Jofra Archer for four. India have put up a fight, at least.

For a second I think Will Jacks waited for Jacob Bethell and was a tad bit late on it so had to dive.

Suryansh Shedge skies it. It's in the air for an age but Will Jacks is a little too hesitant.

As an India fan i have to give credit to England. Some of the bowling and batting has been sensational and I think our batting has to improve. For sure we know we can see more problems, but we will bounce back and fair play to England.

  18. Ind 163-5published at 16 overs

In comes Suryansh Shedge. He's bounced by Sam Curran and it whizzes past the helmet.

Shedge takes a single off a ridiculously slower ball from Curran.

Super over. Four runs conceded and the wicket of Shivam Dube.

A disappointing series for Shivam Dube who has not really contributed with bat or ball in this series.
