WICKETpublished at 17:04 BST 17 May

    Kellaway c Yates b Bamber 42 (Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 105-4)

A fourth wicket for Ethan Bamber!

The Bears bowler persuades Ben Kellaway to push at a ball which moves away slightly and takes the outside edge.

Rob Yates does the rest at first slip, moving to his left to take a good chest-high grab.

He's had a few escapes but not enough to reach fifty for the fourth time this season.

A partnership of 92 with Colin Ingram is broken and Sean Dickson is in.

  2. Postpublished at 17:02 BST 17 May

    Northants 43-2 - target - 249 to beat Gloucs

Two slips and a backward point in for Matt Taylor, bowling to Northants number three Calvin Harrison.

Harrison tries to flick a ball to leg and gets a leading edge through extra cover for four.

Not intended but they all count.

  3. Postpublished at 16:59 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 175-3

A lovely shot from Jack Leaning, who latches on to a bit of width from Alfie Ogborne and crunches the ball through mid off for four.

A leg side ball is flicked away behind square leg for four more.

Leaning moves to 21 with two driven down the ground.

  4. Postpublished at 16:58 BST 17 May

    Middx 177 & 245-6 v Derbyshire 376

    Comedy moment - sort of.

Harry Duke walks away from the crease as a pigeon flutters by but Martin Andersson is already into the delivery stride and it's a good one which hits off stump.

The umpire has already called dead ball.

  5. Glamorgan lead passes 200published at 16:58 BST 17 May

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 97-3

Another slice of fortune for Ben Kellaway as his outside edge gets another workout.

Nathan Gilchrist is the bowler to take it this time, but it drops short of the slips and squirms between first and second slip.

Kellaway is up to 42 and the lead is beyond 200.

  6. Postpublished at 16:57 BST 17 May

    Northants 39-2 - target - 249 to beat Gloucs

Will Williams is bowling to Calvin Harrison with two slips and a gully - but they can do little to stop this ball, which is driven past Graeme Van Buuren at mid off for three.

A bit of lift outside off stump to Nathan McSweeney, but enough width for the Aussie batter to leave the ball.

  7. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Southportpublished at 16:55 BST 17 May

    Lancs 262-7 v Worcs 270 - trail by 8

Oh dear, heavy rain has arrived at Southport and we're back off again.

  8. Postpublished at 16:55 BST 17 May

    Hants 214 & 48-3 v Notts 229

A quiet start to the evening session and that's just what Hampshire need as Olly Stone's latest over coughs up two singles.

The game is really in the balance for the hosts here. Batting remains testing.

Fergus O'Neill raps Tom Prest on the front pad and wheels around in appeal to the umpire.

But it's not out and goes down as a single - so that probably tells you why the appeal was unsuccessful.

    The lead is 33.

  9. Postpublished at 16:55 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 165-3

Craig Overton replaces Lewis Gregory in the attack and Dan Hughes moves into the 90s with an imperious drive through the off side for four.

Overton gets a bit of shape back into Hughes, who blocks into the off side.

    He remains on 91.

  10. 250 runs

250 up for Lancashirepublished at 16:54 BST 17 May

    Lancs 261-7 v Worcs 270

Back-to-back sixes from Paul Coughlin, the second is absolutely monstered over long on into someone's back garden at Southport!

What an entertaining knock this has been from Coughlin - he is 48 not out off 33 balls.

A Worcestershire fielder then climbs over the fence into the garden to retrieve it - only in county cricket would you get these scenes!

Lancashire's deficit is just nine runs now and they have picked up a first batting point too.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:53 BST 17 May

    Higgins b Montgomery 34 (Middx 177 & 245-6 v Derbys 376)

Ryan Higgins pushes a single off Martin Andersson to post a 50 partnership with Harry Duke but is gone in the next over.

Derbyshire bring on Matt Montgomery to hurry them towards the new ball and Higgins is bowled by one that keeps a bit low as he tries to pull from outside off stump.

The home side lead by 46 as Zafar Gohar comes to the crease.

  12. Postpublished at 16:53 BST 17 May

    Northants 36-2 - target - 249 to beat Gloucs

Matt Taylor is bowling round the wicket to Calvin Harrison - who does well to fend off a rising ball safely into the off side.

Still plenty in this pitch for the Gloucestershire attack with the newish ball.

    Harrison defends down the ground.

The last ball of the over is driven past Tommy Boorman at extra cover for one.

  13. Postpublished at 16:50 BST 17 May

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 86-3

Nathan Gilchrist slants one into the pads of Colin Ingram and bursts into an appeal.

Maybe an inside edge saves him.

Late away swing then almost takes the edge of Ben Kellaway as Ethan Bamber seeks a fourth wicket. The 22-year-old responds with a super drive through mid-on for his third boundary.

Glamorgan's lead is approaching 200 as the Bears' need for a breakthrough continues to build.

  14. Postpublished at 16:49 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 159-3

A bit full from Lewis Gregory and Dan Hughes drives through the off side for four.

The next over will be bowled by Alfie Ogborne.

  15. Play resumes in Tauntonpublished at 16:47 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 105-3

We're back! Lewis Gregory has three balls left in a rain curtailed over and he'll bowl to Dan Hughes.

He has 83 and Jack Leaning is on 11.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:46 BST 17 May

    Burns c Bairstow b White 11 (Yorkshire v Surrey 15-1 f/o - trail by 267)

Rory Burns is dismissed for the second time today!

Burns throws his bat up in frustration and Surrey lose their first wicket after being forced to follow on.

Great bowling from Jack White, around the wicket, as it comes in and then goes the other way - Burns has had two brilliant deliveries to dismiss him.

It catches the outside edge - Jonny Bairstow takes a simple catch behind the stumps.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:46 BST 17 May

    Procter b Taylor 13 (Northants 34-2 - target - 249 to beat Gloucs)

An edge by Calvin Harrison into the ground off Matt Taylor.

The ball runs between first and second slip for one.

    Soft hands there.

Luke Procter is bowled! Slight change of angle, swinging in to beat the bat and flick the top of leg, possibly via an inside edge.

Nathan McSweeney is in at four.

  18. Postpublished at 16:45 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 204 & 15-0

Really threatening stuff from Jhye Richardson.

He cuts Dom Sibley in half and the ball just floats up in the air but drops safe if you're of a Surrey persuasion.

Jack White races in from the other ends and Rory Burns pushes at one aerially but fortunately for him there is no fourth slip and the ball goes down to the third man boundary.

  19. Postpublished at 16:45 BST 17 May

    Middx 177 & 239-5 v Derbys 376

It's a pretty short boundary on the off-side so Shoaib Bashir can't afford to drop short - which is what he does as Ryan Higgins cuts for another boundary. He is 31 not out.

  20. Play resumes at the Utilita Bowlpublished at 16:44 BST 17 May

    Hants 214 & 39-3 v Notts 229

A total of 38 overs are due after the 40-minute delay, but that's perhaps a touch optimistic.

Olly Stone opens up after tea and Jake Lehmann and Tom Prest are immediately up and running with a single apiece.

Prest opens the face and guides the fifth ball to Lyndon James for one more.

Fergus O'Neill back into the fray.
