Do Glamorgan stick or twist? They will need at least another hundred to declare but if they go for them quickly they might get bowled out. How much time will they need to bowl Warwickshire out and do they give them a sniff? Good luck working this out, Kiran!!

    Chris, Hampshire

There'll be no declaration any time soon, Chris.

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 205-4

Somerset turn to spin and there's a bit of turn there for the off spin of Archie Vaughan - with some good flight and a flatter delivery later on.

Maiden over. The floodlights are on, the clouds are gathering but no rain, thankfully.

  3. Pitch inspection at Southportpublished at 17:44 BST 17 May

    Lancs 262-7 v Worcs 270

With the covers remaining on, there will be a pitch inspection at 18:00 at Southport to see if we can have any more play today.

  4. Bad light stops play at Lord'spublished at 17:42 BST 17 May

    Middlesex 277 & 278-8 v Derbyshire 376

What a shame. The umpires decide the light isn't good enough for play to continue, with another 21 overs scheduled on day three.

Middlesex will be quite content with the situation, but there's bound to be some frustration in the Derbyshire dressing room.

The home side lead by 79 with just two wickets standing - Harry Duke is 31 not out and Toby Roland-Jones, having been dropped before he had scored, has two.

    Prest c Stone b James 18 (Hants 214 & 73-4 v Notts 229)

    And there is the breakthrough.

Lyndon James in his third over, bangs one in short and Tom Prest goes to hook.

He cloths it to Olly Stone who takes a good diving catch. Poor shot, but Notts won't care as an important, patient stand is broken.

Ben Brown comes to the crease.

    Tom Lammonby strikes for Somerset!

A hint of swing there from the left-armer as Dan Hughes drives and nicks to Lewis Gregory at first slip.

James Coles is now in the middle.

  7. Harry Brook into the attackpublished at 17:40 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire v Surrey 49-1 f/o - trail by 233

Not only is Harry Brook back on the field, he is also back into the attack.

His second ball is played into the off side by Ryan Patel for a couple.

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 204-3

A Tom Lammonby no ball brings up the Sussex 200 in 48.4 overs.

Dan Hughes is far more comfortable after passing the nervous 90s and pushes Craig Overton through the off side for two.

Back-to-back boundaries for Dom Sibley as Matthew Revis strays down the leg side slightly.

Sibley has looked in better touch in his second innings than he did in his first earlier today.

    Northants 66-3 - target - 249 to beat Gloucs

Nerves continue to fray in this chase with plays and misses and the occasional edge not quite carrying to slip.

George Bartlett sees out the Will Williams over with a leave outside the off stump.

Good news on two fronts for Yorkshire.

We are back on as the home side continue to hunt second-innings wickets after enforcing Surrey to follow-on.

And Harry Brook is back on the field as well for the home side after suffering that knock to a finger and he looks good to continue after a brief spell off the field.

  13. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:35 BST 17 May

    Middx 177 & 272-8 v Derbys 376

Toby Roland-Jones drives at a ball from Ben Aitchison and is dropped at third slip. It flew there pretty quickly but should have been taken.

TRJ takes a single before Harry Duke cuts for four. Middlesex now 73 in front.

Daniel Hughes reaches his centuryImage source, Shutterstock

Tom Lammonby bowls to Dan Hughes on 99...

A huge LBW shout from the occasional left armer and it's not out.

Very adjacent, straightening but possibly a tad high. Close!

An inside edge dinks the ball through the on side and there's the century! The return throw is awry so that is in fact five runs!

    133 balls with 17 fours.

That's his second century of the season - and in fact back to back centuries after his 136 v Leicestershire in the last round.

    Hants 214 & 68-3 v Notts 229

Jake Lehmann looks to cut Lyndon James and almost top-edges it through to wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne who is standing up to the stumps.

Though the Hants lead is still only 53, the Notts frustration will be building.

The visitors haven't won here in the Championship since 2010 and won't want to chase a lot on this pitch.

    Bosch lbw Haydon 7 (Middx 177 & 266-8 v Derbys 376)

Eathan Bosch is gone but he isn't thrilled with the decision. He holds up his bat as if to suggest a little nick before walking off.

Only two wickets left for Middlesex, who are still only 67 in front.

  18. Postpublished at 17:30 BST 17 May

    Middx 177 & 266-7 v Derbys 376

Having hit the previous ball for four, Eathan Bosch is fortunate to see a miscued chip just clear the outstretched fingers of bowler Rory Haydon, allowing him to add a couple more runs. The lead is 67.

That’s a 47th first-class fifty for Colin Ingram as he turns Jordan Thompson into the legside for a single.

Important runs from the 40-year-old left0-hander who is setting up a big run chase for the home side, having come in at 13-2.

The landmark has come off a patient 81 balls with seven fours and a maximum.

  20. Postpublished at 17:28 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 192-3

Nervous times for Dan Hughes on 98.

He misses an attempted hook from a short ball from Craig Overton and is nearly bowled when the bowler pitches it up.

He gets a single to move to 99 and Jack Leaning pulls a short one to backward square leg for four.
