    Essex 68-3 - target 101

Starting to look a little easier now for Essex.

Matt Critchley finds the mid-wicket boundary off Ian Holland and pushes the next for a single as the Leicestershire captain tumbled to the ground in his follow-through.

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 47-3

Beau Webster into the attack and Ben Kellaway welcomes him in some style, pulling his fifth ball into the Hollies Stand for six.

That's a SEVENTH maximum of the day. You can tell the T20 Blast is just around the corner.

Kellaway, who hit a pivotal 139 in the first innings, goes to 11 and moves the Glamorgan lead past 150.

    Falconer c Guest b Potts 48 (Middx 177 & 191-5 v Derbys 376)

Two in successive overs for Derbyshire as Caleb Falconer tries to drive a ball from Nick Potts and edges to the keeper.

Middlesex still eight behind as Harry Duke comes out to join Ryan Higgins.

    Gloucs 154 & 216-9 v Northants 127

Matt Taylor is on the slog and scythes James Sales over the slips and down to deep third for four.

He takes a single to fine leg.

In theory, four balls to bowl at number 11, Gabe Bell.

Short, wide and cut square for three!

A short ball is pulled, top edged and missed between the fielders at fine leg and deep square!

Four more smacked through cover for four as Taylor shuffles away to leg. This will hurt Northants.

A wide follows. One more flicked to mid on and that over cost 16.

    Green c Roderick b Swanepoel 15 (Lancs 191-6 v Worcs 270)

Beyers Swanepoel gets his third. Chris Green departs for 15.

No foot work to write home about here. A wild swing by Green and he edges behind to Gareth Roderick who makes a simple catch to his right.

Huge disappointment for Green who bangs his helmet on the way off. A timely breakthrough for Worcestershire though.

    Essex 62-3 - target 101

Ben Mike jags one back into Charlie Allison and hits him 'where it hurts most'. Undaunted, the young Essex right-hander whips the next one away for three runs.

  7. Postpublished at 15:36 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 187-9

Nicely played through the covers by Matthew Fisher who moves onto 13 not out.

Too much width on offer there by Yorkshire's Matthew Revis.

  8. Postpublished at 15:34 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 200-9 v Northants 127

Gabe Bell is off the mark second ball, driving for two and that takes the hosts to 200 in the 65th over.

Luke Procter bowls short of a length and Bell gloves it on the leg side.

No short leg and the ball lands safely.

  9. Postpublished at 15:33 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 183-9

A beauty of a delivery from Jack White beats Dan Worrall all ends up. The number 11 had no answer to that.

The following ball brings about a beautiful on drive from Worrall which runs away to the boundary for four.

    Boorman c Vasconcelos b Procter 36 (Gloucs 154 & 198-9 v Northants 127)

Ben Sanderson is back on the field after a brief absence.

But Luke Procter will bowl this over.

Matt Taylor gets a single driving to point.

Edged and caught at first slip! Another one swings in.

Tommy Boorman is squared up and frustrated.

The bell rings for Gabe Bell to bat next.

    Du Plooy c Bashir b Andersson 95 (Middx 177 & 191-4 v Derbys 376)

We just told you that Leus du Plooy doesn't often miss out on opportunities for hundreds. Just shows what we know.

Du Plooy drives Martin Andersson hard into the covers where Shoaib Bashir takes a good, tumbling catch - but that's a stinger and he's going to need some treatment to his hand.

Du Plooy put on 107 with Caleb Falconer, who is 48 not out.

    Middleton c Verreynne b O'Neill 6 (Hants 214 & 30-3 v Notts 229)

Just three balls after the drop, Notts take a third wicket!

Fergus O'Neill gets a little away movement and catches the outside edge as Fletcha Middleton pushes forward in defence.

Kyle Verreynne takes a second catch behind the stumps and O'Neill has 2-13.

Hampshire are three down and are just 15 in front.

Tom Prest is the new man.

    Hants 214 & 30-2 v Notts 229

It's been said before but you have to feel for Sam Seecharan as he shells a chance at third slip after Olly Stone had found the outside edge.

But Jake Lehmann gets a life on four and the bowler storms back to his mark.

The drop compounds a duck for Seecharan who was drafted in to the side today after an injury to Freddie McCann.

    Essex 46-3 - target 101

Leicestershire call up Ben Mike, the pick of their bowlers in the first innings. Matt Critchley drives past mid-on for four as Mike overpitches and is nine not out.

  15. Postpublished at 15:28 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 197-8 v Northants 127

Four runs to Tommy Boorman, flicking James Sales through square leg.

A loose drive and a bottom edge squeezes the ball between first and second slip for four more.

Boorman is squared up on the crease and beaten on the outside edge next ball, who then drives and misses. No lack of drama here and late away swing from Sales.

  16. Postpublished at 15:27 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 179-9

A good length ball from Matthew Revis becomes a daisy cutter behind the stumps and Jonny Bairstow does superbly to re-adjust at the last moment and saves four byes.

That took everyone by surprise but the 36-year-old wicket-keeper showed superb reflexes there.

Number 11 Dan Worrall then whips away straight through Adam Lyth at mid-wicket for a couple to get off the mark.

    Middx 177 & 186-3 v Derbys 376

Leus du Plooy drives Rory Haydon down the ground and three runs brings up a century stand with young Caleb Falconer.

Du Plooy is into the 90s now and Derbyshire know all too well - as he's a former player of theirs - that he doesn't waste these opportunities very often.

Middlesex are now just 13 behind.

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 36-3

Watchful stuff from first-innings century-maker Ben Kellaway to an accurate Oliver Hannon-Dalby over. Maiden.

Ethan Bamber continues after his three-wicket burst.

Colin Ingram slashes a wide delivery square for four as Glamorgan look to steady the ship.

  19. Postpublished at 15:25 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 189-8 v Northants 127

A loose drive from Matt Taylor off Luke Procter and the ball is spooned just wide of James Sales running in from mid wicket.

Tommy Boorman pulls a short ball to long leg for one.

Over bowled - so he keeps the strike.

    Essex 42-3 - target 101

This is good stuff by Josh Hull, bar one wayward delivery down the leg-side.

The left-armer is finding some swing and when he chooses to bang it into the pitch, he is quick enough to hurry the batsmen up.

Wonder how much video he has seen of former Australia paceman Bruce Reid. He could be a template as Hull progresses in his career.
