  1. 50 runs

50 for Chris Woakespublished at 15:59 BST 10 April

    Sussex v Warwickshire 220-6

The Bears' number eight follows his number seven there soon after.

Tom Haines' medium pace, with John Simpson stood up, dots Chris Woakes up for three balls on 49*, but he gets there with a one to deep cover off the fourth.

Woakes has hit eight fours and one six and gets there off just 62 balls.

The pitch flattening out in the Hove sunshine.

Jamie Smith is 109* for Surrey

A single to end the session for Surrey and the hosts go into the tea break in a very commanding position.

Jamie Smith remains unbeaten on 109, while Ollie Pope made a fine 103 in a 200-run partnership for the third wicket.

Surrey will hope to put their foot on the gas once more in the evening session.

Long old day for Leicestershire so far.

  3. Postpublished at 15:57 BST 10 April

The last over before tea and Dan Lawrence comes down the pitch to hit Ajaz Patel over mid-on for four.

And another falls the same way as George Hill grabs a fourth, trapping Kyle Abbott.

  5. 100 runs

    100 partnership & 50 for Smithpublished at 15:56 BST 10 April

    Sussex v Warwickshire 219-6

Tom Price has 2-57 off 12 overs, his first two wickets for Sussex, but he along with his seven other bowlers used today cannot get past these two.

Kai Smith has 51* off 67 balls as we are just three overs from the tea interval thanks to the decent amount of spin already bowled today.

These two making Ed Barnard's decision to bat first look more sensible now than it looked at lunch!

  6. Postpublished at 15:54 BST 10 April

    Notts 264-8 v Glamorgan

Jack Haynes will be hoping he doesn't run out of partners here. He only needs another five for his century.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:53 BST 10 April

    Yusuf lbw b Hill 8 (Yorks v Hants 222-7)

George Hill gets one to nip back sharply and Codi Yusuf has laid no bat on that. Not much doubt about that and David Millns finger goes up.

  8. 250 runs

250 up for Surreypublished at 15:52 BST 10 April

    Surrey 251-3 v Leics

Dan Lawrence picks up a single off Ajaz Patel and Surrey pick up their first batting point.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:50 BST 10 April

    Hutton c Cooke b Hadley 25 (Notts 243-8 v Glamorgan)

The perfect comeback delivery for Ryan Hadley!

He finds the outside edge of Brett Hutton's bat and Chris Cooke takes the catch behind the stumps.

A quickfire 25 for Hutton and Glamorgan are pushing through the lower order now.

  10. Postpublished at 15:50 BST 10 April

    Notts 262-7 v Glamorgan

Brett Hutton is onto it quickly from Ryan Hadley and pulls it powerfully away for four through the leg side.

His 25 has already been a useful contribution for Notts.

If Jamie Smith continues to score runs for fun for Surrey then he must play for England but where? He is not good enough as a keeper so there are 2 options in my view. Bethel pays for playing in the IPL or he opens.

  12. WORCESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 191published at 15:48 BST 10 April

Middlesex v Worcestershire 191 all out

Ryan Higgins removes Adam Finch to end the Worcestershire innings on 191 as he finishes with a more-than-useful 3-39.

An excellent effort from Middlesex after asking the Pears to bat at half 10 this morning.

Let's see if Tom Taylor and co can make any inroads into the home batting in the final session.

  13. 6 runs

Six for Lawrencepublished at 15:46 BST 10 April

    Surrey 248-3 v Leics

    Fair enough, Dan Lawrence.

Defends his first ball from Ajaz Patel, comes down the ground and smashes it for six over long on the next.

That's one way to get off the mark.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:46 BST 10 April

    Thomas c Pepper b Cook 4 (Essex 149 v Somerset 16-3)

    Josh Thomas gone now too.

Groping outside off stump, it bounced and left him, not quite the pitch he top scored on on his debut here in September and Sam Cook has his second.

Will Will Smeed make it before the end of Somerset's first innings?

Somerset must hope there is no traffic on the M4 or M25, or for some better batting until close.

  15. Lees departs for 129published at 15:45 BST 10 April

    Gloucestershire v Durham 311-2

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Alex Lees and Ben McKinney came ever so close to breaking the record for Durham's highest opening stand - eventually falling short by just 10 runs.

They took Durham to 305 before Lees was bowled by Will Williams on 129. So, their highest opening stand remains the 314 scored by Michael Di Venuto and Kyle Coetzer against Notts in 2009.

On that occasion, Durham beat the visitors in Chester-le-Street by an innings, as they retained their County Championship title in a season which saw them go unbeaten in the four-day game.

Ben McKinney can still break the record for the youngest double centurion at Durham, though. He currently has 161.

Meanwhile Emilio Gay has just been caught at first slip by Cameron Bancroft, off Williams, for five. Just like buses, eh?

  16. Postpublished at 15:45 BST 10 April

    Notts 257-7 v Glamorgan

Brett Hutton clumps it for four away off Timm van der Gugten and these are all very valuable runs for Notts.

Hutton is onto 21 from 27 balls. Jack Haynes is within six of a century at the other end (94*).

  17. Postpublished at 15:44 BST 10 April

    Surrey 242-3 v Leics

Ollie Pope and Jamie Smith fist bumpImage source, Shutterstock

Ollie Pope and Jamie Smith's stand finally comes to an end for Surrey.

A partnership of exactly 200 runs for that third wicket.

  18. 200 runs

200 for Warwickshirepublished at 15:43 BST 10 April

    Sussex v Warwickshire 205-6

    The Bears get to 200.

A reverse sweep from Kai Smith for four showing some of the shots he has unfurled in the One-Day Cup in recent summers.

Consecutive boundaries to start Jack Carson's most recent over.

The last wicket fell on 117-6, a crucial partnership for the away side this.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:43 BST 10 April

    Pope c Cox b A Patel 103 (Surrey 242-3 v Leics)

    At long last for Leicestershire!

Ajaz Patel gets one to grip and it turns just that little bit more than it has been, catching the outside edge of Ollie Pope's bat as he nicks off to Ben Cox behind the stumps.

A much-needed breakthrough and Pope is gone for a fantastic 103.

  20. 250 runs

250 up for Nottspublished at 15:42 BST 10 April

    Notts 252-7 v Glamorgan

Nottinghamshire have dug deep to grind out their first batting point of the game.

It did not look on the cards at 103-6.
