  1. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:10 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 457-8 v Sussex 502 - Yorks trail by 45 runs

A busy session of 157 runs for four wickets comes to an end as the players head off for a delayed tea break.

With Yorkshire only 45 behind now they will be forming a plan about how to approach the evening session.

  2. 450 up for Yorkshirepublished at 16:07 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 457-8 v Sussex 502

New batting partnership Jhye Richardson and Logan van Beek move Yorkshire within 45 runs of Sussex's total in the last over before tea.

  3. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:07 BST 26 April

    Notts 190-1 (f/o) & 279 v Warks 459 (Notts lead by 10)

A strong session for Nottinghamshire comes an end.

They lost just one wicket from lunch to tea, when Ben Slater fell victim to a loose delivery from Beau Webster for 48. But for the most part of today, the home side have been dominant, with the Bears seamers currently struggling to threaten.

Warwickshire attempted to force a breakthrough through bringing the spin of Rob Yates and Dan Mousely into the attack, but the pair conceded 19 runs in their four overs.

Haseeb Hameed is putting in a captain's performance, currently 89 not out, with Ben Duckett alongside him on 40.

  4. Tea at The Ovalpublished at 16:00 BST 26 April

    Surrey 415-6 v Essex 409

Surrey edged into the lead in the final over of the session, with Tom Lawes pulling Paul Walter for four, but overall the home side have been pegged back after losing the wickets of Ben Foakes and Dan Lawrence, the latter for 125.

Jordan Clark and Tom Lawes are at the crease with 34 and 22 respectively and you'd think Surrey will need to try and take the initiative in this final session, looking to build the kind of advantage that might put Essex under some pressure in their second innings.

  5. Derbyshire follow onpublished at 15:58 BST 26 April

    Derbyshire 281 & 4-0 (f/o) v Gloucestershire 498

Derbyshire have indeed been asked to follow on during the tea interval by Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire have only picked up three points in their opening three matches - what a chance they have to add a big haul here.

  6. Scores level at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:57 BST 26 April

    Notts 180-1 (f/o) & 279 v Warks 459

There is a decent ripple of applause around Trent Bridge from a sizeable home crowd as Notts level the score with Warwickshire just one wicket down.

A measured few hours of batting from the Nottinghamshire top order means they will force Warwickshire to bat again.

A good partnership is building between Haseeb Hameed and England's Ben Duckett.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:57 BST 26 April

    Hill c Clark b Carson 50 (Yorkshire 446-8 v Sussex 502)

I barely had time to write that George Hill had made 50 before he got out.

Jack Carson has been used sparingly by Sussex today but he has a first wicket in his ninth over thanks to a good catch from Tom Clark.

Yorkshire lose a couple of quick wickets and are now eight down still trailing by 54.

  8. 'Signs of dissent from Bess'published at 15:55 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 446-7 v Sussex 502

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

It was a very slow walk from Dom Bess as he was dismissed.

There were signs of dissent as he trudged off, the umpires were not too happy with that.

  9. 50 runs

50 for George Hillpublished at 15:55 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 446-7 v Sussex 502

A single takes George Hill to his half-century from 55 balls.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:54 BST 26 April

    Bess lbw Haines 22 (Yorkshire 442-7 v Sussex 502)

Dom Bess is adjudged to be lbw and is not happy with the decision at all.

On the replay he does appear to get a bit of bat on it but up the umpire's finger goes.

Bess might not agree with it but his reaction to the decision isn't the best as the BBC Radio Leeds team point out.

  11. Tea at Sophia Gardenspublished at 15:50 BST 26 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 412-4 - Leics trail by 28 runs

  12. Postpublished at 15:48 BST 26 April

    Surrey 396-6 v Essex 409

Earlier in the afternoon, it looked as though Surrey were hitting the accelerator but they're becalmed again as we approach the tea interval.

Again, the Essex bowlers have kept the pressure on, with Sam Cook delivering a maiden and Matt Critchley bowling an efficient, extended spell at the other end.

Jordan Clark has 27 and Tom Lawes 18.

  13. Division Two latestpublished at 15:41 BST 26 April

Gloucestershire have bowled out Derbyshire for 281 for a first-innings lead of 217. They've taken tea at the County Ground, so we will see if the visitors enforce the follow on shortly.

Worcestershire are closing in on a thumping victory over Kent. The hosts have just taken an eighth wicket at New Road to leave Kent 212-8 and still requiring 39 to make the Pears bat again.

Lancashire are building a really handy lead over Durham thanks to Paul Coughlin and Michael Jones who are both approaching 50. Lancashire are 156-6 and lead by 231.

The Warwickshire seamers have bowled decently here but haven't looked too threatening. The Notts pair look comfortable at the crease.

Ben Duckett has eased his way to 21 alongside Haseeb Hameed who remains steadfast on 78.

Will Warwickshire regret enforcing the follow on here? There maybe hasn't been as much movement for the bowlers as they may have expected.

  15. Postpublished at 15:37 BST 26 April

    Surrey 389-6 v Essex 409

Sam Cook is back on for another spell prior to tea and he sends down five dot balls to Tom Lawes before the last one is a bit wider and the batter capitalises by steering it to the off-side fence.

Surrey are now just 20 behind and have six overs before the interval to try and lift themselves out of the red.

  16. 400 up for Leicestershirepublished at 15:36 BST 26 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 402-4 - Leics trail by 38 runs

The Foxes get to 400 within 108 overs to grab a fourth batting point.

Jonny Tattersall (38*) and Stephen Eskinazi (35*) are enjoying their time in the middle together and have now made 72 in partnership.

Leicestershire now with Glamorgan's total well within their sights.

Imagine being as good as Joe Root. Knowing every time you go out to bat you're likely to score 50+, and a century near enough every other game. Madness.

  18. Missed stumping for Essexpublished at 15:26 BST 26 April

    Surrey 382-6 v Essex 409

Tom Lawes has come out with an attacking mindset, clubbing Matt Critchley back over his head for four - but he should probably be back in the changing room right now.

The spinner tempts Lawes out of his ground again with a flighted ball outside off stump and he lunges and misses - but Michael Pepper is unable to react quickly enough to take the ball and then whip off the bails.

Lawes remains, with 11 to his name, while Jordan Clark has 23.

  19. 'Still a superb knock'published at 15:25 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 406-6 v Sussex 502

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Joe just nibbled at a ball he didn't need to, he will be annoyed with himself.

It's still a superb knock from Root.

  20. 150 up for Nottspublished at 15:24 BST 26 April

    Notts 150-1 (f/o) & 279 v Warks 459

Ben Duckett brings up the 150 for Notts as he begins to get going. Notts now trail by just 29 runs as Duckett begins to settle at the crease.

Duckett is now 19 not out and Haseeb Hameed remains firm on 72.
