  1. Postpublished at 14:22 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 329-4 v Sussex 502

Joe Root (68*) and Matthew Revis (29*) have now added 62 together as Sussex look for a way to break the partnership.

The visitors took three wickets in the morning session but are yet to make the breakthrough during the afternoon.

  2. 100 runs

100 for Dan Lawrencepublished at 14:16 BST 26 April

    Surrey 315-4 v Essex 409

Dan Lawrence nudges Jamie Porter for a quick two behind point and that takes him to three figures from 170 balls.

It's Lawrence's second hundred of the season, his 21st overall - and he's been a thorn in the side of his former team-mates today.

The deficit is into double figures now and that's also the end of the cut-off for bonus points - with both sides taking four apiece overall.

  3. Division Two latestpublished at 14:15 BST 26 April

It's been a real struggle for Lancashire in their second innings at Durham. They've crawled to 67-5 with Matthew Potts taking three wickets. The Lancashire lead is 142.

Gloucestershire's bowlers continue to chip away at Derbyshire as they look set for a big lead. Derbyshire are 217-6 in their first innings and still 281 behind.

Kent are also six down and facing an innings defeat at Worcestershire. Tom Taylor has been in the wickets again with four - Kent are 122-6 and still need another 129 just to make the hosts bat again at New Road.

WICKETpublished at 14:13 BST 26 April

    Holland c Crane b Hadley 79 (Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 330-4)

A couple of quick wickets was just what the doctor ordered for Glamorgan after a lean morning session.

Firstly, Ian Holland who goes for 79 trying a ramp shot that he gets wrong to send it straight into the hands of Mason Crane at third man.

Then Lewis Hill chops on to his own stumps with Ryan Hadley claiming both of the afternoon dismissals.

Disappointment etched over the faces of both batters but a timely boost for the hosts.

  5. Back-to-back boundaries for Hameedpublished at 14:06 BST 26 April

    Notts 85-0 (f/0) & 279 v Warks 459

Haseeb Hameed takes Michael Booth for back-to-back boundaries guided through third man.

Notts pick up a bit of momentum with a flurry of boundaries off the last few overs, but a couple have been from genuine edges.

Bowling from the Stuart Broad end, Jordan Thompson has perhaps been slightly unlucky, he has beaten the bat and drew the edge on multiple occasions.

However, none of the edges have gone to hand.

  6. Second batting bonus point for Surreypublished at 14:05 BST 26 April

    Surrey 303-4 v Essex 409

Not only has Dan Lawrence stepped it up a gear since lunch, so has Ben Foakes.

He's unveiled a trio of classy flicks through the leg side for four, two of them in this Noah Thain over, and is now rattling along at 23 not out, with Lawrence on 93.

The Essex lead is down to 106.

    Worcs 447 v Kent 196 & 111-6

60 years supporting my county, seen some greats. But how bad are Kent? Finance, setup, coach, players. Sad to witness the past three years. Can’t see us winning a single game whatever format this year. Nonetheless I will still go to games, watch hope and pray!

    Marten - Gillingham

  8. 'No margin for error when bowling at Root'published at 13:59 BST 26 April

    Yorks 311-4 v Sussex 502

    Jonathan Doidge
    Commentator on BBC Radio Leeds

It looks like there is a little bit of movement after lunch for these two bowlers.

However, there's no margin for error when bowling at Joe Root, this partnership is becoming a handy one.

  9. Postpublished at 13:52 BST 26 April

    Surrey 285-4 v Essex 409

Dan Lawrence uses his feet again, coming forward to Jamie Porter and slamming a powerful drive straight down the ground.

Porter's next two deliveries also end up heading to the boundary - the second of them a thick edge that would have been stopped by second or third slip if Essex had put anyone in there to keep Paul Walter company.

Lawrence is up to 93 now and looking to raise the tempo after lunch.

  10. Play resumes at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:45 BST 26 April

    Notts 279 & 58-0 v Warks 459

Jordan Thompson gets play going again from the Stuart Broad end, and a very eventful over to get us going!

His first ball nearly cuts Haseeb Hameed in half, an excellent back of a length delivery jagging in to the right hander.

The fourth delivery hits Hameed on the pad and there's a big, but futile, appeal from Thompson.

A maiden over to begin, but certainly a threatening one for the Notts batsmen.

    Let's see what's in store...

  12. Essex bowlers maintain 'disciplined performance'published at 13:42 BST 26 April

    Surrey 271-4 v Essex 409

    Nick Gledhill
    BBC Essex

Surrey’s morning here with Dom Sibley registering his first century of the season and sharing in a second century stand of the innings as the Essex lead was reduced to 138.

Sibley played impeccably, batting at his own pace but finding room for some fine boundaries when he encountered anything that erred in line or length.

There wasn’t much of that as the Essex seamers continued their disciplined performance of yesterday. When Sam Cook finally got one to bounce on Sibley to remove him for 101 it was thoroughly deserved.

Essex now have two former players to dislodge. Lawrence is well set on 80. A Surrey lead looks likely but a key issue will be whether they can score quickly enough to put Essex under pressure.

  13. 'Root in excellent touch'published at 13:41 BST 26 April

    Yorks 300-4 v Sussex 502

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A mixed morning for Sussex picking up three wickets, but losing all-rounder Tom Price with a nasty looking ankle injury whilst fielding in the first over of the day.

Price left the field unaided but in obvious discomfort, and with Sussex's resources already stretched, fingers will be firmly crossed that's it's not too serious.

Earlier Sam Whiteman completed his maiden century for Yorkshire with a huge six off James Coles, before being well caught behind by John Simpson off the bowling of Henry Crocombe, and the prize scalp of Jonny Bairstow followed soon after his middle stump uprooted by Coles.

Talking of unrooted Joe Root has gone quietly about his business, shifting through the gears to reach his half century, and looking in excellent touch in his first appearance since the Ashes.

  15. 'Notts need to show spirit of champions'published at 13:18 BST 26 April

    Notts 279 & 58-0 (f/o) v Warks 459 - lunch, day three

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Nottinghamshire will have to show the true fighting spirit of county champions if they are to avoid their first home defeat for two years.

Made to follow-on by Warwickshire, 180 runs behind, they have at least negotiated the first hurdle, with their openers getting through to lunch unscathed.

Haseeb Hameed, who has registered a total of only two runs from his last three innings, has been particularly watchful in his approach but, along with long-time opening partner Ben Slater, has ensured the scoreboard has kept moving.

Warwickshire hold all the aces and would happily settle for three or four wickets in the afternoon session, whilst still keeping Notts behind in the game.

  17. 'Surrey moved along quite nicely'published at 13:07 BST 26 April

    Surrey 271-4 v Essex 409 - lunch, day three

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's been a solid morning of cricket for both sides.

I think Surrey will be quite pleased with it, they've moved along quite nicely.

They're eating away at the deficit now, it will be two very good sessions this afternoon.

  18. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:06 BST 26 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 315-2 - Leics trail by 125

It's been largely plain sailing for the Foxes in the morning session, who have added 99 runs for the loss of just one wicket.

Ian Holland is unbeaten on 73.

So, plenty of work for Glamorgan to to this afternoon but they do still lead by 125.

  19. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 13:04 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 300-4 v Sussex 502 - Yorks trail by 202

The hosts reach 300 in the final over before lunch to grab a second batting point.

They began today on 192-1 and have added more than 100 runs but have lost three wickets which probably make it Sussex's morning.

Especially when you consider they grabbed the wickets of Fin Bean for 105, Sam Whiteman for 101 and Jonny Bairstow who only got six in 17 balls.

Joe Root has scored a half-century and will look to kick on in the afternoon with Yorkshire still a sizeable number of runs behind.

  20. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:03 BST 26 April

    Notts 279 and 58/0 (f/o) v Warks 459

    Grace Ballinger
The Blaze and Manchester Super Giants seamer

Time for a lunch break at Trent Bridge! It's been a glorious April morning, and one where momentum has ebbed and flowed between the two midland-based sides.

Whilst Warwickshire remain in the driving seat, I think they will be disappointed not to make any second-innings breakthroughs after dominating the first 30 minutes of the morning.

Ben Slater and Haseeb Hameed have looked strong at the crease, and their decision making has been excellent.
