  1. Gloucestershire second innings underway at Bristolpublished at 18:29 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 & 0-0 v Northants 127

Well... We have the unusual sight of Craig Miles and Will Williams opening the Gloucestershire innings tonight.

Two night-watchers. Or is that night hawks these days?

If the light holds - we have 10 overs left tonight. If.

Ben Sanderson was exemplary with the ball on Friday - and he's ready to bowl to Miles.

  2. Bad light stops play at Tauntonpublished at 18:25 BST 16 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 19-0

The light has deteriorated enough for the umpires to take the players off the field in the fourth over.

Frustration for Somerset, who nonetheless hold a huge advantage, thanks in the main to centuries from Tom Abell and Craig Overton today.

That may well be that for the evening - though that is TBC.

  3. Stumps at Edgbastonpublished at 18:24 BST 16 May

    Warwickshire 123-6 v Glamorgan 360

As has regrettably been expected, the rain has ended the day at Edgbaston.

A day which Glamorgan will be very pleased with, they finished their innings this morning on 360 and secured a third batting bonus point before reducing Warwickshire to 123-6 at the close.

There were two wickets apiece for Timm van der Gugten and Zain-ul-Hassan, while only Alex Davies and Dan Mousley (both 30) have so far managed to make an impression with the bat for the Bears.

Still trailing by 234, Warwickshire will have their work cut out on the morning of day three and Glamorgan, by comparison, will fancy their chances of securing another Division One victory.

  4. Five-wicket haul for Matt Taylorpublished at 18:23 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 v Northants 127

The dismissal of Northants number 11 Liam Guthrie leaves Matt Taylor with figures of 14.3-4-36-5.

  5. Close of play at Beckenhampublished at 18:20 BST 16 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 173-5

When the players went off about half an hour ago, it seemed unlikely that there would be any further play - and now it's official that there won't.

Durham will resume on day three 350 runs behind, with David Bedingham and Ben Stokes together, but if Kent can get among the wickets early, they will fancy their chances of victory in this game.

Ekansh Singh demonstrated his potential with an unbeaten 66 in the home side's first innings and followed that up with two wickets, while Matt Milnes bowled England newcomer Emilio Gay for nought via the inside edge.

  6. Close of play at Lord'spublished at 18:19 BST 16 May

    Middx 177 & 13-1 v Derbys 376 - trail by 186 runs

A terrific day's play for Derbyshire officially comes to a close.

And what an afternoon Ben Aitchison has had as well.

The tall right-arm seamer started the day as just a nightwatchman but over the course of the afternoon ended up playing shots like a prime Michael Vaughan, playing through the covers and crunching through the off side.

After picking up his maiden first-class century, in which he was met on three figures by team-mate Wayne Madsen, Aitchison then grabbed the break through in Middlesex's second innings - claiming the wicket of Sam Robson - as Madsen took the catch at first slip before we went off for a second time for bad light.

This after Aitchison took five-for in the first innings just yesterday. The visitors in control of this one then.

  7. NORTHANTS ALL OUT FOR 127published at 18:18 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 v Northants 127

That's a 27-run lead for Gloucestershire, who snared the last five Northants wickets for just 42.

Matt Taylor drops a tad short to Liam Guthrie, who scoops that ball high to Graeme van Buuren on the leg side.

James Sales is left stranded on 19.

  8. Postpublished at 18:18 BST 16 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 19-0

Four slips in for Lewis Gregory - who bowls a no ball in his second over.

No early alarm bells for Sussex at this point but there's plenty of scoreboard pressure.

    Eight overs left tonight.

  9. Postpublished at 18:15 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 v Northants 125-9

This innings could end at any moment.

James Sales is beaten on the inside edge trying to drive James Taylor and misses with a horrid swipe down the track to end the over.

Liam Guthrie is on strike to Gabe Bell and tucks a single into the on side.

Sales is struck high up on the pad and the ball runs away between keeper and a lone first slip for four.

Sales ducks under a bouncer to end the over and number 11 Liam Guthrie will be back on strike.

  10. Postpublished at 18:11 BST 16 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 11-0

Dan Hughes picks up a single first ball and Tom Haines has four runs via a superb flowing drive through cover.

Alfie Ogborne will share the new ball and Dan Hughes is on the back foot, punching the ball down the ground for four.

A bit too full from the left-armer.

A no ball follows and an LBW shout later in the over is turned down. Too high and perhaps and inside edge.

  11. Women's One-Day Cup resultpublished at 18:09 BST 16 May

Surrey Women (250-7) beat Lancashire Women (246-7) by 3 wickets

An unbeaten 88 by Kira Chathli helped Surrey Women secure a three-wicket victory over Lancashire at The Oval in the Women's One-Day Cup.

Chathli arrived at the crease in the 11th over, with her side rocking at 62-3 when chasing 247, but the middle order batter stabilised the run chase and put on 134 for the fifth wicket alongside Maitlan Brown (62). Surrey clinched the win in the 46th over.

Brown, and team-mate Dani Gregory (3-42), had earlier taken three Lancashire wickets, as the visitors set their hosts a competitive target with a notable contribution from opening batter Eve Jones (62).

Kate Cross (3-52) was the pick of Lancashire's bowlers as they sought to defend their total, but Chathli's knock proved decisive.

  12. Sussex begin their first innings at Tauntonpublished at 18:06 BST 16 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 0-0

11 overs left. Dan Hughes and Tom Haines will open the innings.

Lewis Gregory will bowl to Hughes.

  13. Postpublished at 18:05 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 v Northants 120-7

Eight fielders out and a slip for James Sales so the tactic is clear from Gloucestershire.

James Sales clips the second ball leg side but cannot get back for the second run.

Four balls left in the over. An absolutely horrendous swipe and miss without footwork from Liam Guthrie.

He does at least leave the ball outside off to see out the over.

Nice moment for Kyle Abbott earlier today at a special presentation to mark his 500th first-class wicket for Hampshire.

Shot! James Sales is not going down without a fight and lofts a drive over the head of bowler Matt Taylor for six!

A couple of leg bye and five wides follow - and Liam Guthrie sees out the over not entirely convincingly with the odd play and miss.

  16. Somerset declarepublished at 17:57 BST 16 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex

A four for Jack Leach, driving James Coles through the off side.

A single off the third ball and Lewis Gregory is out, caught behind for 35 off 30 balls.

An uncomfortable 11 overs left for Sussex tonight. Back in 10 minutes.

  17. Postpublished at 17:56 BST 16 May

    Somerset 521-7 v Sussex

Every Sussex fielder bar the keeper on the boundary.

A full toss to Jack Leach, who drives and Jack Carson falls back on to the stumps at the other end to try and take the catch. Ouch.

He's OK and a very, very hard chance is missed.

A frustrating end to day two at Headingley as Surrey commenced their first-innings only to see it cut short due to rain after just four overs.

It was, up until then, an intriguing second day as Surrey fought back to eventually bowl Yorkshire out for 486 as Adam Lyth eventually fell for 141 and Jonny Bairtow could only add four more runs to his overnight tally as he was caught on 120 at mid-on.

George Hill played nicely for his 34 and Dom Bess was bowled when attempting to reverse-sweep Dan Lawrence for 42.

Matthew Fisher picked up 4-92 on his return to Yorkshire as we go again at 11:00 BST for day three tomorrow with Rory Burns 14* and Dom Sibley 1* set to return to the crease.

First ball! Matt Taylor is on a hat trick! He'll have to wait though because that was the last ball of the over.

More inswing and Ben Sanderson drives to Graeme van Buuren in the off side.

Liam Guthrie is in at 11.
