Oh no. On the first play after the two-minute warning, Patrick Mahomes is injured, and there's no chance he can run this one off. Not any time soon anyway.

The Chiefs quarterback hobbles off while back-up Gardner Minshew comes into the fray.

Less than two minutes to save the Chiefs' season. No pressure Gardner.

FT: New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have beaten the New England Patriots 35-31 in the most remarkable of comebacks.

The Patriots led 21-0 in the first half as Drake Maye scored two rushing touchdowns before TreVeyon Henderson added a third.

Inspired by reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen, who threw for three touchdowns and running back James Cook, who scored a hat-trick, inspired the Bills to score 28 second half points and in the process, prevent division rivals New England from clinching the AFC East title.

One of the games of the season.

Los Angeles Chargers 16-13 Kansas City Chiefs

  6. First down for the Billspublished at 21:05 GMT 14 December 2025

New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

That should be that for the Bills!

They get another first down within 15 yards of the goal line and with less than 90 seconds to go, they will just run the clock down from here.

Buffalo were 21-0 down against the Patriots in the first half, the same Patriots side that had won 10 in a row heading into tonight.

    What an incredible comeback!

  7. Chiefs take overpublished at 21:04 GMT 14 December 2025

Los Angeles Chargers 16-13 Kansas City Chiefs

The Chargers only just manage to get into Chiefs territory and have to punt after 12 plays.

Patrick Mahomes trots back out to begin the Kansas City drive at their own eight-yard line with 5:20 on the clock.

  8. Turnover - Bills close in on enormous Patriots winpublished at 21:02 GMT 14 December 2025

New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

On 4th&5 and 78 yards from goal, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had to long with time not on his side.

The pass is blocked and the Bills will take possession just 22 yards from goal with a four-point lead and less than two minutes to go.

It means the AFC East title will not be New England's tonight and could also end the Kansas City Chiefs' season!

  9. touchdown

    Touchdown - Giantspublished at 20:58 GMT 14 December 2025

Washington Commanders 29-21 New York Giants

What a catch by Wan'dale Robinson!

Jaxson Dart has a second passing touchdown of the night, firing a loopy pass to the end zone and a diving, falling Robinson is grounded and takes the catch in one swoop for a 16-yard touchdown.

The Commanders' lead is cut to eight as Younghoe Koo scores the extra point, having earlier missed two long-range field goal attempts.

  10. Turnover - Mahomes interceptedpublished at 20:58 GMT 14 December 2025

Los Angeles Chargers 16-13 Kansas City Chiefs

So often we've seen Patrick Mahomes pull something out of the bag in this type of scenario.

But the Chiefs quarterback fails to find JuJu Smith-Schuster, an Isiah Pacheco run is stuffed and then a hopeful pass by Mahomes on the run is picked off by Daiyan Henley by the pylon.

That throw wreaked of desperation, and now the Chargers have it back right in front of their own end zone, with just under 13 minutes left.

  11. Turnover - Bills forced to puntpublished at 20:56 GMT 14 December 2025

New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

In a blizzard-filled Buffalo, the Bills are frozen out of a scoring drive for the first time since early on in the second half.

They are forced to punt, giving the Patriots possession and around three minutes to regain the lead which would clinch the AFC East title.

    Nail-biting stuff!

  12. ouch!

Ouch! - Jefferson ejectedpublished at 20:53 GMT 14 December 2025

Los Angeles Chargers 16-13 Kansas City Chiefs

There was nothing wrong with Tony Jefferson's hit on Rashee Rice earlier, but this time he flattens Tyquan Thornton after making helmet-to-helmet contact.

Not only do the officials deem it a penalty, the Chargers safety is ejected for dangerous play, and that puts the Chiefs into the red zone.

  13. Turnover on downs - Patriots lose possession late onpublished at 20:53 GMT 14 December 2025

New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

After that sack on Drake Maye and a false start penalty against the Patriots, the Bills gain possession as the Patriots are forced to punt.

There are just over five minutes left and this result not only stops the Patriots winning the AFC East title tonight, but also has big implications on the Kansas City Chiefs' hopes of keeping their season alive.

  14. touchdown

    Touchdown - Cardinalspublished at 20:51 GMT 14 December 2025

    Arizona Cardinals 20-33 Houston Texans

Jacoby Brissett is still slinging the ball about and he connects with an 11-yard touchdown throw to Michael Wilson - who is having some great recent games mainly in losing efforts.

It's not just a two-score game in Houston.

  15. field goal

Field goal - Bearspublished at 20:51 GMT 14 December 2025

    Cleveland Browns 3-31 Chicago Bears

The Bears extend their lead to 28 points as Cairo Santos converts a field goal from 41 yards out.

This game has been very much a formality for the hosts.

  16. touchdown

    Touchdown - Jaguarspublished at 20:49 GMT 14 December 2025

New York Jets 20-48 Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Etienne Jr scores his third touchdown of the game as the Jags close in on a 50-burger. Officially it's a 45-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Lawrence, but Etienne actually runs 51 yards after taking the short catch.

    Great effort.

  17. Sack - Maye forced back by Billspublished at 20:49 GMT 14 December 2025

New England Patriots 31-35 Buffalo Bills

Matt Milano registers another sack on Drake Maye, a huge play for the Bills that sends Maye back seven yards while already deep in his own territory.

They are the side with the momentum here and the Patriots are in real danger of throwing a near perfect first half display away...

  18. touchdown

    Touchdown - Ravenspublished at 20:49 GMT 14 December 2025

    Baltimore Ravens 24-0 Cincinnati Bengals

Patrick Mahomes is trying to keep Kansas City's season alive but it looks like Joe Burrow and Cincinnati are done.

And what a heads-up play it is by the Ravens' veteran linebacker Kyle van Noy.

Burrow stumbles as he lofts it over the middle on 3rd & Goal, and the ball goes straight to Van Noy. He runs towards the right but spots his much quicker team-mate Alohi Gilman coming up behind him so hands it to the Ravens safety, who goes 84 yards down the sideline for what is surely a game-clinching touchdown.

Game of the season? It is certainly a contender!

James Cook has a hat-trick of touchdowns for the night and for the second time in this quarter, the Bills have overturned the deficit!

Cook runs with the ball for 11 yards to get over the line, have completed a nine-yard run with the previous play.

We are into the final seven minutes as the Patriots chase a victory to win the AFC East, having led this match 21-0 in the first half!
