He finds Josh Downs in the end zone, for what is a 422nd touchdown pass in Rivers' career, and he's just as animated as you'd expect him to be. What a display from the veteran.

The Panthers went ahead through Rico Dowdle's touchdown that was later cancelled out by one for Devin Neal, with a late first half field goal giving the Panthers a narrow lead.

Ryan Fitzgerald converts a 40-yard field goal to give the Panthers a three-point lead just shy of half-time.
On the previous play, Tetairoa McMillan let a catch go that would have been a nigh-on certain 22-yard touchdown for Carolina.
Tennessee Titans 10-17 San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco have extended their lead, but only by three it remains a one score game.
A 33-yard field goal by Eddy Pineiro is good with a minute to go in the half.
Green Bay Packers 13-7 Denver Broncos
Running back Josh Jacobs shows elite receiver hands to collect a 14-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love as the Packers go back in front.
Image source, Getty ImagesThe Chiefs' back-up quarterback Gardner Minshew has been speaking about the late interception he threw as Kansas City were eliminated from the play-offs following defeat to the Chargers.
“I hate the situation," said Minshew. "I hate that I couldn’t deliver the win and keep our hopes alive."
Minshew also spoke about Patrick Mahomes' struggles this season and his injury in the game with the Chargers.
“It’s very frustrating, man. It’s been hard to watch for Pat, a dude that puts so much into it,” Minshew added. “I’ve never seen someone give so much of themselves to the team. I have confidence in him and his ability to come back better than ever.”
Detroit Lions 17-14 Los Angeles Rams
An NFC thriller is brewing in Detroit!
Amon-Ra St.Brown is one of the NFL's best and he has just proved it twice in a matter of minutes.
He started the drive off with a 52-yard catch and run to take the Lions deep into Rams territory. Three downs later, he takes another catch, spins and forces his way into the end zone for an eight-yard touchdown.
Another conversion for Jake Bates restores the Lions' three-point lead.
Carolina Panthers 7-7 New Orleans Saints
All square in the NFC South!
On fourth down six yards from goal, quarterback Tyler Shough goes for it and earns a first down.
Devin Neal follows suit with a four-yard run to get the Saints within a point of Carolina.
Irish kicker Charlie Smyth converts the extra point on his third outing for the Saints.
Indianapolis Colts 6-3 Seattle Seahawks

Blake Grupe has a pot shot from 54 yards and it just clears the upright, probably good from 55 yards that one...
Detroit Lions 10-14 Los Angeles Rams
What an incredible drive from the Rams! Kyren Williams with his second of the night.
It starts with a combined 66 yards from three plays, a long Williams run and is followed up by two superb passes from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua and Colby Parkinson.
From there, they just need three yards to get over the line. Attempt three is a dropped Terrance Ferguson catch in the end zone, having had the ball in his hands until he lands.
The Rams, gifted by a couple of Lions fouls, get over at the fifth time of asking thanks to Williams. Harrison Mevis' kick is also good.
Green Bay Packers 6-7 Denver Broncos
Broncos lead! And it's thanks to an unlikely source in Michael Bandy going in from 20 yards on a catch-and-run from Bo Nix on the move.
If you;re going Michael who? That's because he was only just elevated off the practice squad. What a decision!
It's now 6-7 in Denver (don't say it....)
Tennessee Titans 10-14 San Francisco 49ers
Superb from the Titans. A 34-yard touchdown!
An excellent pass from Cam Ward is caught by the running Gunnar Helm, making up the final few yards and diving into the end zone.
Joey Slye also finds success with the extra point and the 49ers' lead is cut to four points.
Detroit Lions 10-7 Los Angeles Rams
Detroit regain the lead but it is only one of three points as Jake Bates converts a field goal from 24 yards.
The Lions had three attempts at getting the final eight yards, but missed passes to Amon-Ra St.Brown either side of a David Montgomery run gain just two yards.
The Rams will be pleased with how they shut out the end of that drive.
Green Bay Packers 6-0 Denver Broncos
Green Bay double their lead with a second Brandon McManus field goal, this time from just 26 yards out which is nothing more than a flick of the boot.
It's a win for Denver as Jordan Love took his team 89 yards on that drive but could not find a way into the end zone for the damage was just three.
Chiefs eliminated from play-offs

Reid said “it didn’t look good” as Mahomes was helped into the locker room shortly before the Chiefs were eliminated from the play-offs - missing the play-offs for the first time since 2014.
Tennessee Titans 3-14 San Francisco 49ers
A 14th touchdown of the season for Christian McCaffrey!
The 49ers running back only needs a yard to finish off a rapid drive for the hosts that included a 30-yard reception for Demarcus Robinson and one of 24 yards for George Kittle.
Eddy Pineiro kicks well again to give his side an 11-point advantage early in the second quarter.
Indianapolis Colts 3-3 Seattle Seahawks
All square in Seattle thanks to a 47-yard field goal by Jason Myers. More importantly that means we get to see Philip Rivers in action again.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has had a tough first quarter so far but on fourth down, risks it all to avoid a second scoreless drive.
He finds the ever-reliable Puka Nacua for an 11-yard reception, who himself has dropped a catch or two earlier on tonight.
Had they not gambled, the Lions could have made some serious ground, but the Rams are on to add their first points on the board imminently.
