RESULT: Patriots 13-29 Seahawks
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye sacked six times by Seattle's number one-ranked defence
First touchdown of game comes in fourth quarter, as tight-end AJ Barner hauls in Sam Darnold pass, following Maye fumble, to make it 19-0
Jason Myers kicks five field goals for Seahawks - a Super Bowl record
A 35-yard Mack Hollins TD gives Patriots a slim hope of a comeback
But Maye is then picked off twice by Seattle, with one going for a touchdown, as Seahawks close out game

The Super Bowl ladies and gentlemen.

Not the biggest Seahawks fan but would be nice if the Pats didn't get the sole most Super Bowl wins record. I don't care how they do it, so long as the Seahwaks win. If their stellar defence is what they'll rely on, Go Seattle.

Brilliant from Seattle's punter Michael Dickson who aims his kick towards the touchline and there's a special teamer down there to touch it out of bounds at the two-yard line.
I never know why more punters don't just kick for touch rugby style, it's the percentage play and also the best way of pinning teams right back.
And now Drake Maye will be stood in his own end zone and bang in trouble.

Kenneth Walker can't catch a third-down pass, but does catch a big hit from Robert Spillane.

Seahawks need to convert this defensive dominance into points before Patriots work their way into this game.

There's not a lot that's coming easy on the back end of this New England defence.

Image source, Getty ImagesGuess who? Kenneth Walker! Just a short pass but that's all that was needed to move the chains. Sam Darnold has done an excellent job so far of evading the pressure, he's not a runner but he's lighter on his feet so far than Drake Maye.
Darnold's escaped numerous sack opportunities already and that was another one as he grabbed a first down.

This is a great battle between two very even teams. Defences are ruling, but it only takes a moment from either offence.

If you can't get into a rhythm, it's hard because you can't get into a flow offensively and scores are harder to come by. The Pats have only got three first downs so far, this is why they are constantly coming off the field. It will start to affect the defense, especially later in the game.

Sam Darnold is slippery one tonight as he wriggles out of what again looked another certain sack - but he can't find his receiver as he strides forward.
Short third down coming up.

Kenneth Walker again finds the edge on Seattle's first play as he makes it 81 yards rushing already in this first half.
He could be on for an MVP award the way this is going....

When Kenneth Walker gets loose, he is gone. He's had two 20 plus yard runs on the same drive. He was getting the bulk of their real estate.
What's odd is that time of possession is quite even. The turnover battle is even but the Pats need a long sustained drive, at least get a field goal out of one.

Great atmosphere in Pinnacle Brewing in Wenatchee WA. This Hawks defence will hopefully win the game. Impressive so far.

Did Rylie Mills just tackle two guys at the same time? Including the quarterback?! Holy moly!!
That's his first sack of the season too. The Dark Side just keeps getting darker.

Drake Maye dropped again for the third time! Rylie Mills this time comes bulldozing through the line just running down rookie Jared Wilson for a big loss.
That was a bit on Maye for holding the ball far too long - yes the coverage is good but he's either go to throw it away quicker or get out of there and use his legs.
Pats have to punt again.

This is how the Pats have played all season. Give teams opportunities for threes, not sevens. Believe in the offence and eventually, we'll see the big plays that they've made all season long.

I thought with Seattle scoring early we might have an open fun & high scoring game but it will most likely be the predictable defensive snooze fest decided by a few points, but will somehow have a crazy final quarter if I remain optimistic.
