Jason Myers makes no mistake again with his third field goal of the half to make it 9-0 with 11 seconds left.

This is two now for Christian Gonzalez. A last second diving play and almost intercepted.

I think the Seattle Seahawks are lucky that they have the field goal team out there right now.

Seattle Seahawks 6-0 New England Patriots - second quarter

Christian Gonzalez gets both hands on the ball heading into the end zone for Jaxon Smith-Njigba but again he can't quite pull it in.

That's a few times now Sam Darnold has been left off the hook when almost throwing an interception - that could be the closest of the lot and they'll still get a chance for three points.

With 20 seconds left and no time out, Seattle are going to run a play on third and three and not go for the field goal yet.

Cooper Kupp again makes a catch but he's in the middle of the field so the clock keeps running - until it's stopped by the officials who think he's dropped it.

That could be a result for Seattle as it stops the clock.

Cooper Kupp takes a catch but is tackled and the clock keeps running, so Mike Macdonald takes his final time out with 23 seconds left.

Real battle of the D-lines here. Hardly any flags, this game is flying by. Touchdown-wise, it really feels like we’re waiting to see who blinks first.

George Holani scrambles for a first down on the New England 30 with 32 seconds left on the clock.

They take a time out and the plan will be try and find the end zone in a couple of plays or take the three points.

The defence will get to the half pitching a shutout so any points they get are golden.

It's one of those strange things when you're a quarterback in the Super Bowl, it can accelerate on you, a bad start turning into a bad game. Drake Maye isn't there yet but he needs some help. He doesn't want to scramble on his own and he's scared to because he has no backup.

This Patriots team is looking like one of the worst Superbowl teams in history. Their easy schedule really did flatter them this season.

New England's formula is to get to the fourth quarter, that's what they want to do, so this works for them.

Seattle Seahawks 6-0 New England Patriots - second quarter

Kenneth Walker gets the Seahawks over halfway for a first down as we hit the two-minute warning.

Looks like more points coming here for Seattle just before half-time, but will it be seven or three? That's the big question.

Sam Darnold also made a nice completion to Cooper Kupp, again standing tough in the pocket and finding a way to make the throw - something Drake Maye has been unable to do so far.

Just two minutes until Bad Bunny, hope you've all brushed up on your Spanish?

One thing about this Seattle defence is that they aren't afraid to tackle on the outside. There's no free runs.

This is what I expected from New England, they'd have to settle into it with Maye being a young QB.

  16. Pats need to get the run goingpublished at 00:53 GMT 9 February

    Ben Collins

The Patriots really need to get their run game going. They've managed just 34 yards off 10 carries so far. Rhamondre Stevenson has been their main man in recent weeks but he's got just 23 from seven runs.

Drake Maye's averaged 47 rushing yards per game in the play-offs, more than any other quarterback during the regular season, but there's just been no lanes open for him to scramble into either.

Last time I stayed up for a Superbowl was the Rams vs Patriots in Superbowl LIII. I think I may have to watch another war of attrition again. Glad the Seahawks defence seems solid so far.

  19. Pats puntpublished at 00:51 GMT 9 February

Seattle Seahawks 6-0 New England Patriots - second quarter

New England have to punt it away to Rashid Shaheed - there's never been a punt return touchdown in the Super Bowl and there isn't one here.

But there is some good field position for the Seahawks with just over three minutes left to play in the half. There looked like a block in the back to me there on the return but nothing given.

If you're wondering why this game has flown by it's because we've had no penalties, until now, when Will Campbell is flagged for a false start.

A combination of nerves and noise there by the rookie.
