For New England, this is how their whole play-offs has looked. Really strong on defence but struggles to score on offence.

Seattle Seahawks 9-0 New England Patriots - third quarter

Kenneth Walker gets the call on a nicely designed screen and he beats a tackler to get another first down and power Seattle down just outside the red zone.

Walker has 126 total yards so far tonight - exactly hal his team's current total.

  5. Darnold on the run!published at 01:50 GMT 9 February

Seattle Seahawks 9-0 New England Patriots - third quarter

Sam Darnold gets a third straight first down all by himself this time, as once more he evades a possible sack and then takes off on the run, throwing in a pump fake and looking more like a prime Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes.

Seattle Seahawks 9-0 New England Patriots - third quarter

Sam Darnold gets the ball away again under pressure and he complete it down the middle to Rashid Shaheed to move the chains.

Darnold repeats the dose on the next play and hits Jaxon Smith-Njigba for another first down.

These defensive backs are crushing the New England Patriots.

  8. Pats puntpublished at 01:47 GMT 9 February

Seattle Seahawks 9-0 New England Patriots - third quarter

Three and out for New England as Drake Maye's pass to Kayshon Boutte is broken up. There's definitely some early movement from the Seahawks on the Patriots punt, which would've given New England a first down but somehow it's not called.

They badly need to get something going soon as Seattle have all the answers so far.

TreVeyon Henderson makes a few yards on a run to the outside - the rookie's certainly got speed that the Patriots could look to use more.

Third down and three coming up.

This next quarter, the Patriots need to spend it just getting back into the run game. The offence we've seen from them is nothing like their offensive identity.

Right then, we've got a Super Bowl to be won here. Patriots with the ball to start the second half.

The Patriots aren't behind by a ton. They'll need to get Maye some better protection. it's been bad and yet it won't take them much to turn it around.

    Super Bowl HYS

I like a defensive masterclass as much as the next fan but Sam's being slowed down by NE's great D-Line... but Pats offence isn't good enough to make this an enjoyable content.

    Super Bowl HYS

My fave Super Bowl to date was the defensive Pats v Rams in 2019. Another great defensive game so far tonight. Can't see the Pats getting going at all today, feel like a big turnover is coming...

    That looks like ending tonight.

    Now for the big finish.

Bad Bunny advances towards the camera, flanked by his masses and shows off the American football he has been carrying bearing the words "Together, we are America".

Fireworks shoot up from the stands in a blaze of red, white and blue and the white-jacketed Puerto Rican disappears from view.
