Where did that come from!? Drake Maye finds Mack Hollins for a touchdown out of absolutely nowhere.

Maye found Hollins for a 24-yard gain and then followed up with a 35-yard touchdown toss to the same receiver to ensure there will be no first ever Super Bowl shootout.

And maybe, just maybe, the sniff of a comeback?

There's a couple in front of us, one in a Tom Brady jersey the other in a Rob Gronkowski one, they've just looked at each other and given the biggest sigh.

A night to forget so far for the Patriots.

Drake Maye has been beat up all night, he's going to have to pull something wild out of the hat here just to get anything going.

There's a short break as there's an intruder on the field - probably made more yards than the Patriots tonight.

Take a bow Mike Macdonald - his defence has been elite tonight and his play calling special. He looks like being the first play calling head coach to win a Super Bowl.

You just wondered how long this New England defence could hold up. There was nobody there because they were all caught up on the outside. Easy Touchdown.

There it is! Sam Darnold floats a pass to the left edge of the end zone for a wide open AJ Barner.

The Pats come gunning for Sam Darnold but he backpeddles long enough for Barner to run across the formation from the left and find himself a ton of space.

Darnold can just lob a simple pass to him for a 16-yard touchdown - Barner's seventh of the season and the one that could have just won Seatte the Super Bowl.

I said one big play can change things... that strip sack on Drake Maye has roused the Seattle fans and could give the Seahawks the impetus to go and seal victory.

"He's a bad man!!" screams a Seattle fan in front of us.

I'm not sure who he's referring to. Could be Derick Hall, could be Byron Murphy, could be anyone on the Seahawks' defence quite frankly.

Seattle Seahawks 12-0 New England Patriots - third quarter

It's looking tough for New England after three quarters after the first turnover of the game sees their defence trying to desperately hold out again and limit Seattle to just three more.

It would still take a huge turnaround here considering the Seahawks defence seems to have his number.

This is just the second Super Bowl ever to enter the fourth quarter without a touchdown being scored - the first was the Patriots beating the Rams 13-3 in 2019.

A big problem for Drake Maye in the play-offs has been hanging on to the football. Right here, it's an easy recovery for Seattle. If they can finish it for the touchdown. You've got to feel really good on the sideline.

At some point you can not continuously blame the offensive line. Maye has to move to ball faster. At what point do you resign the Super Bowl or take him out of the game and try something else. He's young and clearly the occasion has got to him. When was the last shutout in a Super Bowl? Why not go down swinging and chuck in Dobbs?

Disaster! Drake Maye again gets swallowed up and as he tries to escape he has the ball knocked out of his hands and it's recover by Byron Murphy.

Derick Hall it is who knocks the ball free for his defensive buddy to recover, and that gives Sam Darnold a short field to try and find what you feel could be a killer blow.

The sun has gone down in Santa Clara and it's actually a bit chilly now.

There's definitely been a lull during the third quarter but the Patriots are still very much in this game. It can only take one big play for New England to grasp the initiative so after that stop on defence, can Drake Maye find a spark on offence?
