13:00 BST 18 October 2016A man from Cleobury Mortimer has been charged with child sex offences which are alleged to have taken place in Kidderminster between 1972 and 1974.
The 69-year-old is facing two charges of raping a girl under the age of 16 and two of indecent assault.
He is due to appear at Kidderminster magistrates on 8 November.

Jean Simester's son Darrell was forced to work unpaid on a Welsh farm for 13 years. Farmer David Daniel Doran was jailed for four-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to forcing Mr Simester to perform forced or compulsory labour.

09:54 BST 18 October 2016More than 6,000 people have signed a petition set up by a Worcester teacher calling for a reversal of the decision to scrap the archaeology A-level.
The campaign has also gained support from Time Team presenter Sir Tony Robinson.
Daniel Boatright, who teaches the subject at Worcester Sixth Form College, says pupils benefit from such specialist subjects, which might find skills that would otherwise "have been left undiscovered".

The AQA exam board says there will be no more new entrants for the subject.

17:59 BST 17 October 2016The Worcestershire World War One Hundred programme is launching its first, free, World War One heritage trail in time for October half-term.
The Woodbine Willie Trail celebrates the life of Geoffrey Anketell Studdert Kennedy, better known by his wartime nickname Woodbine Willie.
As soldiers left for the front Studdert Kennedy would offer them cigarettes and a bible.

17:54 BST 17 October 2016Worcestershire County Council is being taken to a tribunal over its decision not to publish information relating to the Hartlebury incinerator.
The Council was asked back in 2014 to reveal the details of a contract connected with the £165m site, but didn't provide information it claimed was commercially sensitive.
The matter has now been referred to the Information Commissoner.

17:42 BST 17 October 2016A man from Droitwich has been given an 18-month prison sentence after he admitted selling cannabis in the town.
Aaron Brooks, 26, was stopped by police in King George's playing fields on 19 April and found with two bags of cannabis, two mobile phones and £140.
He was released on bail but stopped eight days later in Ombersley Street after he was seen throwing away a mobile phone and 14 bags of cannabis.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing drugs with intent to supply and was sentenced at Hereford Crown Court today.
