    Alpine skiing - men's Super-G

Switzerland's Marco Odermatt will have to wait for his first gold at this Games!

He comes up 0.28 seconds back of his countryman Franjo von Allmen and is just behind Ryan Cochran-Siegle as well.

Odermatt is in bronze medal position for the time being. Plenty more competitors to come but not too many more of the big medal hopefuls.

Italy's big hope Giovanni Franzoni can only put himself in fifth despite a strong start to his run.

Switzerland's Marco Odermatt - the favourite - is next up...

  4. Gerken Schofield misses outpublished at 10:47 GMT 11 February

    Freestyle skiing - Women's moguls

It's disappointment for Britain's Makayla Gerken Schofield who misses out on a place in the final after finishing 22nd overall in qualification.

Gerken Schofield was unable to improve on her score of 66.38 from Tuesday's first qualification round in Wednesday's second qualification round and does not progress to the 20-athlete final which takes place at 13:15.

Among those to progress was American Jaelin Kauf who recovered from a disappointing run on Tuesday to score 77.18, and Australian Charlotte Wilson who topped the second qualification round standings with 77.79.

Franjo von Allmen is no one trick pony and he could be in contention to grab his third gold medal at Milan-Cortina today.

The Swiss skier was the fastest in the men's downhill on Saturday, while he was back at the top of the podium on Monday when he won team combined gold.

Downhill is his best event, but he's not too bad at Super-G either.

The 24-year-old has been on the World Cup podium three times already this season and he's up next...

Maddie Mastro's emotional after that second run.

She laid down the tricks she wanted and it's pushed her up into third behind Chloe Kim and Sara Shimizu. We've seen some big improvements on these runs and a lot of consistency.

  8. USA's Cochran-Siegle takes early leadpublished at 10:39 GMT 11 February

    Alpine skiing - men's Super-G

Ryan Cochran-Siegle was a shock silver medallist for the US in 2022. He's third to go in this super-G final...

And the American takes the early lead with a time of 1:25.45, just ahead of France's Nils Allegre.

There are huge cheers for the Italian Christof Innerhofer who follows and comes home in the bronze medal position, at least for now.

    Freestyle skiing - Women's moguls

The top 10 athletes from Tuesday's qualification 1 are already into the final, which takes place at 13:15 but there are a further 10 places still up for grabs in qualification 2 with Great Britain’s Makayla Gerken Schofield among those in action.

  14. Odermatt on the podium?published at 10:26 GMT 11 February

Switzerland's Marco Odermatt will be the favourite in the Super-G.

He's already bagged a silver medal at these Games, coming second in the men's team combined event - alongside Loic Meillard.

But he will be desperate to get his hands on an individual medal.

He DNF'd (did not finish) in his Super-G race at Beijing 2022, while he narrowly missed out on a place on the podium in the men's downhill on Saturday when he finished fourth.

    Alpine skiing - men's Super-G

The next of today's medal events, the men's Super-G, starts at 10:30 GMT.

As in downhill, athletes get one run down the mountain.

The 'super giant slalom', or Super-G, is raced on a shorter course than downhill, with less vertical drop, but there are more turns.

Each skier gets one run, but - unlike downhill - they are not allowed to practice on the course.

  16. What are moguls?published at 10:20 GMT 11 February

    Freestyle skiing - Women's moguls

Livigno is not just hosting the snowboarding, the second women's moguls qualification round is also underway.

The incredibly steep moguls course is just over 200m long, and features artificial bumps that the skiers must navigate with tight turns and aerial jumps.

Athletes are judged on their speed, turns and aerial manoeuvres.

On defending Olympic champion Chloe Kim competing with a dislocated shoulder...

So many of the rotations come from your upper body, everything comes from here, but we also know people like Chloe Kim can dial in and elevate their performance when they need to.

All that noise about injury, maybe actually it's taken all the pressure off coming into the Olympics because we always put a target on her. She performs at big events every single time but now maybe we know she's injured and people are like 'can she do it?' so it's not 'here's all the pressure, can you do it?'

Choi Gaon is the woman of the moment.

The young Korean took a horror slam in Laax in 2024 - it took her a year to come back from a broken back, she has metal in her spine, but this year she won in Laax for her third world cup win of the season.

Choi is currently in third after scoring 82.25 in her first run, eight points back of Chloe Kim.

I’ve just spotted Shaun White stood a few metres in front of me in the media area.

That’s him on the front row, with the furry hood and the shades. Yes my paparazzi skills need some work.

He posted a video of himself riding the Livigno pipe on Instagram last night.

Wonder how much of him wishes he was still competing today?

He threw his arms up in celebration after Chloe Kim completed her first run.
