If Switzerland score one in this final end to level the scores at 6-6, then we will have an extra end.

If it comes to that, the team that scores first wins the game.

This last end will be interesting. Switzerland have to go all in here if they are to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

Switzerland are planning a take-out on their penultimate stone, but it hasn't worked.

They hit the red British stone right on the nose, and it stops right there rather than drifting closer to the button, which was the desired effect.

    Speed skating - men's 5,000m final

Another medal will be handed out at the Milan Speed Skating Stadium today with the men's 5,000m speed skating final about to begin.

Unlike the mad dash of the short-track speed skating, the skaters go off in pairs and in separate lanes in the longer event and it is a time trail.

Czech Republic's Metodej Jilek is one of the big favourites for gold but we've got a while before he's on the ice. He goes in the ninth of 10 pairs.

Bruce Mouat calls for a time-out to try and work out what the best plan of attack is here.

The house is crowded, with one GB red stone sandwiched between two yellow Swiss ones on the button.

They're likely to get one stone when the end finishes, but they want more.

In the men's 10km+10km skiathlon, Team GB's Andrew Musgrave came 10th in his fifth Games - just short of his best Olympic finish of seventh in 2018 - with fellow Briton Joe Davis 16th.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit disappointed," Musgrave told BBC Sport after the race.

"I felt like it was so fast on the first section and straight away I was struggling - it was hot and I was overheating.

"My chances of a good finish were over after the first lap."

Those of you who’ve watched curling before might be wondering why the four-foot ring around the button is green rather than the usual red.

Well, turns out it’s a nod to the local Ladin population, with white, blue and green being the colours of their flag.

Breezy Johnson's gold in the downhill was the United States' first gold medal at the Milan-Cortina Games.

"I had a good feeling about today. I sort of still can't believe it. I don't know when it will sink in," she said.

"I knew I had to push, and I knew I had to go harder than I did in training. I had to be super clean, I felt like I did that. "I tried to keep it rolling, and I knew the speeds were good, so I hoped it would be enough."

Women's downhill gold medallist Breezy Johnson says "her heart goes out to" to her American team-mate Lindsey Vonn after she crashed out of the downhill event.

"I hope it is not as bad as it looks," Johnson said.

"I know how difficult it is to ski this course because you love this course so much and when it hurts you like that, it hurts that bit worse. My heart just goes out to her."

Although the slope was closed for around 20 minutes whilst Vonn was airlifted off the slope, Johnson had already completed her gold medal-winning run before her compatriot's crash.

"Last year at the World Championships I won from bib one, so I had to wait through the entire race. This morning I personally prefer to run earlier, rather than wait from the top," said Johnson.
