Back to the luge and oh no, a huge mistake from Poland's Mateusz Sochowicz who starts his push off but immediately swerves into a wall and looses all his momentum!

After four teams, Ukraine lead with a time of 3:46:17.

Curling - GB men 6-3 Sweden

    Vicky Wright
Olympic gold medallist curler on BBC One

It was a fantastic peformance by the boys, they came out against the Olmypic champions and put up a strong performance agaisnt them. They were phenomenal from the first shot.

They want to get revenge - always have a close match against Sweden and they are one of the best teams in the world. To come out with that much authority is huge for them.

[Bruce Mouat] was absolutely perfect. He was shooting at 90% going in to the last end. To have that performance on the back of finishing fourth last week is really important to build his confidence.

    Luge - mixed relay

Wow, what a great recovery from the men's doubles Romanian team who look like they're about to wipeout as they skid against a wall but somehow recover to finish.

It'll cost them precious seconds though.

    Luge - mixed relay

Here we go then. Embrace the chaos of the mixed luge relay on BBC Red Button and at the top of this page.

Romania are up first with favourites and defending champions Germany the ninth and last team to start.

  9. Who are the favourites?published at 17:26 GMT 12 February

    Luge - mixed relay

    Germany.

Only twice this century have Germany failed to win the team relay world title.

And they remain the only nation to have won the Olympic team relay title since its introduction in 2014.

Austria are the last team other than Germany to win a world title. Latvia took bronze in Beijing four years ago and could cause an upset.

After this morning’s news regarding Vladyslav Heraskevych it will be interesting to see whether the Ukrainian team choose to make any statement of their own.

They are due to run fourth and don’t have any further competitors in any of the sliding events.

So I guess it would not be possible to punish any kind of statement they wish to make? Let’s see.

    Luge - team relay

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport in Cortina

This event was an absolute HIT at the last Games and this year looks no different with the crowds packed in and the tunes pumping at Cortina sliding centre.

It’s a really exciting event which essentially includes a team made up of women’s singles, women’s doubles, men’s singles and men’s doubles sliders who hurtle down the track before hitting a button at the bottom to signal to their team-mate at the top of the hill to set off.

Should be a really exciting watch.

I don't think Francesca Lollobrigida will ever forget that final lap and how deep she actually went.

She was swinging for all she's got. I feel that was what made that one tenth of a second difference.

    Superb bit of skating.
