That was nice, that was a very nice try.

Forwards and backs working so well, a wrap-around play and the Tigers defence was so narrow.

Bordeaux are cooking now and Leicester look like they're very tired.

An already tough assignment has got a whole llot harder for the Tigers, but they were ahead at times before losing 42-28 here in December 2024.

It doesn't help when Joseph Woodward drops the ball in the tackle when Leicester mount an attack, handing the incentive back to the hosts.

That's frustrating because Tigers actually win the Bordeaux lineout.

It's the speed and power with which they come onto the ball, it's incredible from Bordeaux.

There's a spell of kick tennis until Matthieu Jalibert calls the mark in his 22. The kick is short of halfway, and Leicester have a chance to attack from a lineout.

But they spurn it, Joe Woodward's pass to his right drifting forward - sloppy from the Tigers centre.

Leicester have settled down since that early home pressure, but they cannot string together long phases with the ball, this time knocking on when threatening the home 22.

Leicester's Ollie Hassell-Collins zooms down the left flank and kicks ahead, but it is collected by Louis Bielle-Biarrey and the France superstar shows a clean pair of heels to race away from the Tigers number 11 and back out of the 22.

Bordeaux rumble off the lineout and towards the line, but Cameron Woki is pinged for obstruction.

Leicester kick to clear, but they had defended that stoutly before the whistle.

You talk about multi-phase rugby and that's world-class. They're getting good go-forward and their offload game - that's where they become so dangerous.

Tigers are hanging on and doing all they can but they have to slow down this Bordeaux ball because otherwise they'll be chasing shadows.

Bordeaux are starting to motor, a move deep into the Tigers half seems to go through every home player's hands until the ball goes loose close to the line.

But Leicester are penalised, and yet again Bordeaux kick for the corner, this time on the left.

Ollie Hassell-Collins' hands betray the winger as he spills the ball after Leicester win a lineout and move it nicely to the left over halfway.

The Tigers need to start taking these chances.

It's a simple kick for the scrum-half from not too far to the right, and Bordeaux lead.

Damian Penaud and Cameron Woki try to exchange passes tight to the right touchline, but another Leicester infringement is penalised and the home side elect to go for goal.

Matthieu Jalibert is a livewire on halfway, kicking on and getting a kind bounce to keep the ball and the attack's momentum.

They spin it wide with a penalty advantage due to Olly Cracknell going in high. The ball is spilled, but the hosts boot the penalty long to touch 10 metres out.
