Bordeaux finally string some passes together, Hugo Reus; delicate chip ahead sits up nicely beyond the try line and Salesi Rayasi just gets to it in time.

    Bordeaux 43-14 Leicester

It's not been as slick from the hosts, and Leicester are disrupting them with a dump tackle on halfway seeing Bordeaux knock on and gifting a scrum to Leicester.

But an infringement gifts the ball back to Matthieu Jalibert - his kick doesn't find touch and there's a bit of tetchiness between the packs.

Geoff Parling gives the air of a hard taskmaster, but I wonder if he's impressed by how his side have responded since the resumption?

The hosts are still a bit sloppy, with a Damian Penaud kick being charged down and Billy Searle wasn't too far away from gathering in a dangerous position.

The initial lineout was turned over by Bordeaux, they didn't clean it up and then it was a simple switch-back play and Billy Searle goes round Bielle-Biarrey, which doesn't happen often.

    Billy Searle (Con: Searle)

Excellent spirit from the Tigers as they move the ball out to the right, substitute Billy Searle is in acres of space and he has the simplest of chances to walk it in - and he lands a left-footed conversion into the bargain.

The Tigers do very well at the lineout, scragging Ben Tameifuna and winning a scrum that they win and clear downfield from.

    Bordeaux 43-7 Leicester

An immense 50-22 kick from Matthieu Jalibert gives the hosts a lineout around 10 metres out. It's relentless for Leicester at the moment.

One player who may be struggling to play in a week is Rohan Janse van Rensburg, who has been carted off between two physios with looks to be a calf injury.

    Bordeaux 43-7 Leicester

Maxime Lucu, immaculate with the ball in hand or with the boot today, is replaced and gets a standing ovation. He'll be getting some rest in before what looks almost certain to be a home tie with Toulouse next week.

I'm afraid it looks that way...

The enormous substitute prop Ben Tameifuna, involved earlier in the move, collects the ball a long way out but simply brushes off the tacklers to dive in under the posts.

    Bordeaux 36-7 Leicester

Credit to Leicester, they looked lively from the resumption and deserved something.

But have they just angered the giant?

    Izaia Perese (Con: Searle)

    Is the comeback on?

It's been a bit lax from the hosts since the break, and a careless pass is intercepted and the Tigers centre Izaia Perese races away under the posts.

No arguments from me on that, Leicester competed well until the floodgates opened.

    This could get very messy.

Former Leicester fly-half Andy Goode, speaking on Premier Sports:

"It's ridiculous. It was close for 20 minutes and then Bordeaux just unleashed, didn't they?

"Bielle-Biarrey was phenomenal and the ball out of contact - it's rugby from another planet.

"I think there's only Toulouse that can cope with that."

There's no answers to it. There's literally nothing Leicester can physically to do. It sounds terrible to be saying that but these guys are operating on a completely different level.

I've not seen rugby played like this ever. You can only stand and applaud how good this is. This is not just chucking the ball around - there's structure there on both sides of the ball and it's relentless. The individual brilliance is just next level and I'm blown away.

A 40 minutes to forget for Leicester, but there was some breath-taking rugby from Bordeaux.

    Maxime Lamothe (Con: Lucu)

It's not just backs that can do the fancy passes these days, forwards like Maxime Lamothe are au fait with them too!

The hooker flipped the ball to a team-mate from the back of the hand in the build-up, then got it back from Matthieu Jalibert and smashed over for another try that delights the home contingent.

I don't know what I've just watched. That was incredible. I've not seen a player that quick before. I've heard he's quick. He didn't just leave Freddie Steward, he ran away from Adam Radwan and ghosted around Steward - who is not slow - in the space of two metres.

    What a try.
