    Gloucester 14-14 Castres

Gloucester kick to the corner and if Seb Blake sends his dart in well they could be on here.

It's messy again with no clean ball for Glos but they get another line-out chance.

This one goes wrong as well and Castres are off the hook.

    Gloucester 14-14 Castres

The wind is playing havoc with Seb Blake's throws into the line-out.

That one was overthrown but bounces nicely and the hosts keep possession and then Castres commit another penalty.

Gloucester are being gifted the chance to move upfield at present.

There's yet another penalty - I think that's three in as many minutes against Castres.

Connacht have been relentless so far, but that try to end the first half is just what the Ospreys needed.

That was the only time the Ospreys had been clinical, but at least they've scored a try.

As a whole the first half has been all Connacht, they've looked really well drilled.

A dominant first half by Connacht in Bridgend with the Irish province leading 21-5 in the Challenge Cup opener against Ospreys.

Props Finlay Bealham and Jack Aungier went over either side of a Sean Jansen finish as Stuart Lancaster’s men ran hard and direct.

Wales flanker Harri Deaves has given Ospreys some hope by going over with the final play of the half.

Connacht were top seeds after last season’s group stages, only to lose to Racing 92 in the quarter-finals, and have made an impressive start.

    Gloucester 14-14 Castres

It's tight out there and the weather is playing its part.

Will Trenholm's score levels things up just before the break when it looked like the away side might take a lead into the changing rooms.

All to play for in the second 40!

    Gloucester 7-14 Castres

Tomos Williams sends up a huge kick into the dark Gloucester sky and it's wobbling around everywhere in the wind - too much for full-back Theo Chabouni who spills it forward.

    The crowd loved that one!

Gloucester earn a penalty soon after and Ross Byrne kicks to the corner.

Can the home side replicate what Castres just did and get over the line?

    Loris Zarantonello (con: Popelin)

Gloucester look to have stopped the initial drive but Castres stay composed and a secondary shove gets hooker Loris Zarantonello over the line.

He controlled the situation well there and the visitors have a second.

    Pierre Popelin ensures it's a seven-point gain.

  13. Six-try Perpignan add to Dragons' miserypublished at 15:50 GMT 7 December 2025

Perpignan bagged a bonus-point win against fellow league strugglers Dragons in their European Challenge Cup opener.

Both sides went into the contest on miserable runs of form, and it was the French Top 14 side who ended an 11-game losing streak at Dragons' expense.

Despite an early red card, the hosts led at half-time with tries from James Hall and Mahamadou Diaby.

Jefferson Joseph and Bastien Chinarro added to a second half onslaught, while Dragons showed some fight with scores from Joe Westwood and Will Austin.

A Perpignan penalty try followed before Matteo le Corvec finished off a superb team move, and while Dragons had the final say with Austin's second, it was the hosts left to bask in the sun.

    Gloucester 7-7 Castres

There's a little bit of pushing and shoving as play comes to a stop near the touchline.

It results in Castres winger Christian Ambadiang being nudged over the advertising boards.

The crowd enjoyed it but Gloucester won't as the referee gives a penalty to Castres and they can kick into home territory.

    Gloucester 7-7 Castres

Gloucester have been forced into an early change as centre Max Llewellyn is injured and that brings Rob Russell in the action.

That reverses what had been the only change George Skivington made to his side from the last game which saw the Cherry and Whites earn a first Prem win of the season.

  18. Impressive Connacht startpublished at 20 mins

    Ospreys 0-14 Connacht

Conditions are tricky in Bridgend but Connacht have made a strong start to the Challenge Cup fixture with Ospreys.

Ireland tight-head prop Finlay Bealham and number eight Sean Jansen have crashed over to put the Irish province in command.

Ospreys have offered little and have also lost James Ratti to the sin bin for a deliberate knock-on.

    Freddie Thomas (con: Byrne)

Gloucester hit back and it's the Welsh connection that does the trick.

Scrum-half Tomos Williams finds international team-mate Freddie Thomas who fights his way over the line.

Ross Byrne slots the extras to level things up.

    Gloucester 0-7 Castres

Will Trenholm goes over the Castres try line but cannot ground the ball under pressure - but the hosts get another chance with a penalty under the posts.

They run it wide, but the handling isn't up to scratch and Castres clear.
