Swiatek has broken in each of the opening service games for her six opponents so far at the French Open.
Swiatek 2-1 Kasatkina*
Brilliant response! Kasatkina shakes off those early nerves to immediately break back against Swiatek, a neat forehand clinching the first of those break points.
Game on.

It is a tough blow to take, broken in her first game. Kasatkina needs to work on keeping that first serve percentage up. Her second serve just sits there, waiting to be hit.
They are feeling a lot of nerves out there and the match doesn't feel like it has got going yet.
*Swiatek 2-0 Kasatkina
A miss from Swiatek moves Kasatkina to 15-30. Could this be a chance for the Russian to respond here?
It is indeed! A double fault from the world number one hands over two break points...
It has been a disappointing day for Britain's Andy Lapthorne and Alfie Hewett as they both lost their matches.
Lapthorne, who reached the final of the quad wheelchair singles at the French Open in 2020, lost in his quarter-final, going down 6-0 6-0 against top seed Niels Vink of the Netherlands.
Hewett had won the title in the men's wheelchair competition on three occasions - 2017, 2020 and 2021 - and was the top seed this year, but was eliminated at the semi-final stage, losing 6-1 6-1 to third seed Gustavo Fernandez of Argentina.
*Swiatek 2-0 Kasatkina
A super backhand keeps Kasatkina in the fight, but the 20th seed drifts wide.
A fourth break point proves one too many. The Russian nets and it's the perfect start for Swiatek!
Swiatek 1-0 Kasatkina*
Another chance for Swiatek to steal an early advantage, and another excellent response from Kasatkina. Ace.
Ah, that's not so good however. A double fault piles on the pressure.
Swiatek 1-0 Kasatkina*

Swiatek is looking to put a lot of pressure on these Kasatkina serves. Kasatkina is over-playing just a bit.
Swiatek 1-0 Kasatkina*
Swiatek is applying the pressure from the off here.
The world number one takes Kasatkina to deuce - but the Russian crashes down a forehand to save a first break point. Nicely done.

That first service point was a bit rocky for Swiatek, perhaps as she got to grips with the ball toss in a slightly more than gentle breeze.
But the forehand - her biggest tool - soon got rocking. Three winners from that side finished the game off.
Swiatek 1-0 Kasatkina*
A confident start on serve from Kasatkina, who takes the first two points, but a sloppy forehand at the net drifts long and a backhand from the baseline suffers the same fate.
A few early nerves are forgivable in your first ever Grand Slam semi-final, of course.

The first two points were a bit nervy so it is taking some time for them both to settle.
Swiatek 1-0 Kasatkina*
A lovely swish of the racquet from Swiatek under the Paris sun, bending a forehand away from Kasatkina to edge ahead on serve.
Another bullet flies down the line, and the world number one scuttles in to the net to pop away a final winner for the opening game.

Massive ovation for both players when their names are read out by the husky-voiced MC.
But the reception for Iga Swiatek goes further north on the noise-o-meter.
Always plenty of support for a former champion, of course.
And the sound is swelled by the usual decent numbers of Polish fans, including a group at the back of the lower tier who chant the world number one's name.
Swiatek 0-0 Kasatkina
A double fault from Swiatek to begin the match. Best time to do it.
Swiatek 0-0 Kasatkina
Iga Swaitek is about to get the first women's semi-final at the 2022 French Open under way.
Here we go!
Swiatek v Kasatkina
A huge task lies ahead for Daria Kasatkina.
In three meetings with Iga Swiatek so far this season, the Russian has won just 11 games in total.
The 2014 junior champion, however, believes this will be a different prospect on the Paris clay.
"I lost those matches, but it was a different story. It was a hard court, beginning of the year, I was not in the same shape as I am now," she said.
“It's going to be a completely different match. It's going to be a good match. You never know what's going to happen in the semi-final of a Grand Slam.”
