    *Trevisan 2-2 Gauff

'Come on' Coco Gauff calls out, as Trevisan nets for 0-30.

Another opening? Yep, three break points!

  3. Trevisan breakspublished at 16:09 BST 2 June 2022

    *Trevisan 2-2 Gauff

Nice! Trevisan mixes it up, dragging Gauff forward with a drop shot before firing into the empty court, but she's taken to deuce.

Another clever shot with the backhand sets up another break point... Ouch, a double fault from the American brings us back level.

Don't think Coco Gauff will be unduly worried about hearing the Chatrier crowd whistle as she discusses another ball mark with Marijana Veljovic.

They enjoy whistling more than an over-zealous Sunday league football referee.

    Trevisan 1-2 Gauff*

Lovely shot from Gauff, who lets rip with a two-handed cross-court backhand that almost knocks the chasing Trevisan's racquet out of her hands.

The American claims a shot is long but the umpire disagrees, and Gauff is hauled back to 30-30.

It doesn't feel like a comfortable match yet - the occasion, this big stadium still settling in, a lot of adaptation is required.

    Trevisan 1-2 Gauff*

Can that be a springboard for Coco Gauff?

The American is worked hard across the baseline, but it's the Italian that blinks first after 15 shots.

  8. Gauff breakspublished at 16:01 BST 2 June 2022

    Trevisan 1-2 Gauff*

Three unforced errors and two double faults gift the break to Gauff, who barely had to lift a finger.

I'm sure the umpire might have a word with Trevisan about it [the noise] being a little bit long. I did warn you it would be loud!

    *Trevisan 1-1 Gauff

Trevisan misses with a cross-court forehand and Gauff is up and running. That was a chance for the Italian.

12 unforced errors in the opening two games and one winner. It's a struggle out there.

  12. Postpublished at 15:56 BST 2 June 2022

    Trevisan 1-0 Gauff*

It's tense. It's edgy. It's yet to start flowing. Who can grab this by the scruff of the neck?

Trevisan reaches break point, but slaps into the net for deuce.

Gauff appeals to the umpire over the noises coming from Trevisan's side of the court.

  13. Postpublished at 15:54 BST 2 June 2022

    Trevisan 1-0 Gauff*

Trevisan complains about a second serve - but only after whipping a return out.

The umpire agrees it's out, but says she won't look at it because Trevisan didn't call it right away. Frustrating for the Italian.

  14. Trevisan holdspublished at 15:52 BST 2 June 2022

    Trevisan 1-0 Gauff*

Both players are trying to relax into this but it's taking a little bit of time. Gauff misses with a forehand for deuce.

Trevisan connects nicely with a forehand, though, and a decent first serve down the middle is enough to earn an opening hold.

    *Trevisan 0-0 Gauff

Trevisan skews a backhand marginally wide as she goes for the kill, and it could prove costly as another miss takes Gauff to an early break point.

    Trevisan v Gauff

Martina Trevisan beat Coco Gauff on her way to the quarter-finals at Roland Garros as a qualifier two years ago.

The Italian is on a 10-match winning streak - eight of which have come in straight sets - and could become the lowest-ranked finalist in Roland-Garros history.

    That would be some achievement!

  19. Another tie-break for Murraypublished at 15:44 BST 2 June 2022

    Murray 7-6 (7-4) 6-6 Brouwer

For the second time we're into a tie-break over in London in the Surbiton Trophy.

Andy Murray won the first 7-4 and will be into the third round if he does something similar in his match against Gijs Brouwer of the Netherlands.

Murray failed to convert a break point chance in the 11th game of the second set and would've then been serving for the match if he had taken it.

Coca Gauff is bidding to become the youngest finalist at Roland-Garros since Kim Clijsters in 2001.

Yet to drop a set this fortnight, Gauff is projected to move into the top 20 and would be set for a top-10 debut should she win the title.
