Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Two

After a tentative first set Herbert and Murray have been pretty spectacular.

Without the luxury of the roof on Court 18, Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski's match against Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek has been suspended.

The British pair had just won the third set before play was stopped. Wonder if this means Judy Murray will make her way to Court One? She was watching Jamie before.

What?! Copil looks to have hit the ball out of Herbert's reach, but the Frenchman runs round it and manages to get what should be an impossible angle on his forehand to win the game.

The reaction from the crowd sounds amazing now they're playing indoors.

He's been playing well, but every now and again you get a glimpse of the old gold-standard Andy Murray. His latest backhand return is one such example.

He and Herbert have another break point.

Teamwork! Herbert runs right and hits a brilliant angled forehand, then Murray jumps forwards and is ready with a winning volley.

Back to deuce for a fourth time. These four aren't keen for an early finish...

"Come on Andy" echoes around nicely now that the roof is closed.

And it gives Murray a boost as he hits a winning backhand return. Herbert repeats the feat and they have three break points.

Roof is closed, lights our on and we're ready to go for some indoor tennis.

Let's see if that's interrupted Herbert and Murray's flow.

Murray's going for the 'leave the court' option.

An official has come on to say they're closing the roof. Apparently it will take 12 minutes, the players can decide whether they want to stay on court or go back into the locker rooms.

"YES," comes a premature cry from the crowd as Herbert's first serve is called out. The Frenchman double faults and that's one set point gone.

But Herbert's serve does the trick next time as Humbert's forehand flies wide.

Copil's return flies into the sky, then goes long and Herbert and Murray have three set points.

It's a lovely evening in south-west London but the roof will probably have to close at some point to get this match finished. Not yet, though.

Murray almost lands a perfect return on the line, but it's called out. He challenges, but it's definitely out.

Herbert will serve for the set next.

Marius Copil is serving with new balls. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

But Murray didn't get the memo. He flicks back a 121 mph serve and Humbert is slow to respond. 15-15.

The Brit goes for a lob but it lands long. Copil double faults, though, and we're at deuce.

Time might be ticking towards last train home time from central London but that hasn't had a massive effect on the Court One crowd.

Well over half of the 12,345 seats have bums on them still.

"I go here?" asks Herbert. He and Murray are making their plans up as they go along.

It works just fine though as the Brit takes a 40-0 lead.

Murray serves, Herbert pops up at the net and it's another hold. One more game and they've got themselves a second set.

Another hold to love, this time for Humbert.

The fire has momentarily gone out of this game again.

We need a few more "come on Andy"s from the crowd to wake it up.

Murray says so, too. "Brilliant serving," shouts the Scot as his French partner holds to love.
