Louis Oosthuizen's lead is halved from two shots to one as his errant tee shot leads to a bogey.

At least his ball stayed on the ground, unlike Mackenzie Hughes, whose hopes have surely been ended by a double bogey after that bizarre incident where his ball got stuck high up in a tree.

McIlroy struggles to get his footing with one sinking into the sand and the other trying to grip onto the grassy slope.

He puts them both in the grass eventually and his fourth shot ends up in line with the pin, but the 7ft left will feel like a gulf psychologically for this bogey.

Jon Rahm sends the birdie putt a couple of feet by so Louis Oosthuizen still leads by two.

Rory is out of the bunker and... into the rough.

At least a bogey coming here it looks like.

Magic number 12 appears to be no more for Rory McIlroy.

He has birdied this hole every round so far, but it's not looking likely today.

The 32-year-old was in one bunker off the tee and sends his second shot into another one. The ball has really buried its way into a slope this time as well.

Jon Rahm has a birdie chance at 13... not an easy one but he could be in a share of the lead in a few minutes if Louis Oosthuizen bogeys 11.

Leader Louis Oosthuizen chips on to the green and he will have a tough par putt - the sort Bryson DeChambeau missed a few minutes ago.

Goodness knows what's happening with Mackenzie Hughes, meanwhile - although it seems he will have to take a penalty drop for his tee shot landing in a tree.

Bryson DeChambeau cannot hit a fairway at the minute. From the thickest of thick rough he gouges a wedge on to the front of the 12th green.

The pin is right up towards the back though so he's got a big shelf to get up with his putt. His first attempt is seven feet wide of the mark and his second is seven inches wide.

Three-putt bogey and three off the lead.
