    DeChambeau +2, Rahm +1, Oosthuizen -1 (4*)

Those fairways are soft. The ball is sticking where it lands.

Bryson DeChambeau finally finds one... and absolute hammer, some 308-yard carry.

    Woods E, Lowry +1, Ogletree +3 (3*)

Woods now has 192 to the pin. His wallop just about carries to the green with the stream trying to suck the ball in. The American 15-time major champion produces a grin of relief, having initially thought it was penalty o'clock.

Lowry over-compensates with his iron and finds one of the bunkers at the back.

Europe's winning captain from the 2018 Ryder Cup, Thomas Bjorn, is clearly rooting for a Lee Westwood victory here. Just have a look at this rather playful tweet.

    DeChambeau +2, Rahm +1, Oosthuizen -1 (4*)

Bryson DeChambeau saves par, having taken the scenic route - the second great save of the US Open champion's round so far. It's been lively.

Jon Rahm and Louis Oosthuizen are also in for par.

    DeChambeau +2, Rahm +1, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

More trouble for DeChambeau at 14, he's hooking it all over the shop off the tee at the moment - he reaches the 14th green in three and is left with a tricky par-saver.

Jon Rahm went bogey, bogey earlier but pulled one back at the last, this birdie attempt races by from some distance.

In this headline pack, it's Louis Oosthuizen who's going along most smoothly at the moment. Another birdie chance for the South African from mid-range, but pushes it slightly right.

    Westwood -3 (5)

Hello. Three under par through 5 holes. Lee Westwood is co-leading after zipping in his second on five to within a few inches. For a second I thought that was going to roll on and drop for an eagle.

He's twice been second here in 2010 and 2016. Is the 47-year-old laying down an early marker for another challenge?

Not that he'll need reminding, but he is yet to win a major.

    Woods E, Lowry +1, Ogletree +3 (3*)

Woods' drive on the 13th just lands off the fairway, but it's OK. The immediate rough off the fairway is a little bit thicker than usual.

Ogletree fails with his first shot in the bunker and then his wedge runs to the edge of the green on the opposite side - fortunately for him it stops short before Rae's Creek. How many times have we seen that Augusta? He finishes with a double.

Lowry has a few feet to play with now - the putt never really got near the hole. However, its par again.

Another Woods putt pulls up agonisingly short. However, that three pars on the 10th, 11th and 12th.

    DeChambeau +2, Rahm +1, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

If DeChambeau, as he said earlier this week, is playing Augusta as a par 67, I make that he's seven over so far then...

  12. Double bogey for DeChambeaupublished at 16:42 GMT 12 November 2020

    DeChambeau +2, Rahm +1, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

Bryson DeChambeau is finally on to the green in five. He's looking to get out of here with just a bogey... tricky though, and a double bogey it is.

Louis Oosthuizen has had a long wait to play his birdie putt, and trickles it just wide to the right.

Jon Rahm likewise, and trickles it in to snatch a shot back. Nice birdie putt from the Spaniard.

    Woods E, Lowry +1, Ogletree +1 (2*)

Woods avoids the water on the 12th and that's what matters. The champion looked a little bit tentative, but it's safe. Not Golden Hell.

Ogletree finds the bunker at the back and Lowry plays a slightly more conservative effort.

    Woods looks best placed here.

  14. Postpublished at 16:38 GMT 12 November 2020

    DeChambeau E, Rahm +2, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

Right, DeChambeau's taken a drop besides the bushes, how's he going to get out of this one?

The US Open champion sizes up a chip but duffs his attempt and watches it drop a couple of yards in front of him. Uh oh...

    DeChambeau E, Rahm +2, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

DeChambeau, Oosthuizen, Rahm and their respective caddies are all looking for Bryson's ball in the bushes - they've found a ball! Is it his? Or one from a Masters gone by?

  17. Postpublished at 16:34 GMT 12 November 2020

    Woods E, Lowry +1, Ogletree +1 (2*)

A brilliant save from US Amateur champion Andy Ogletree.

It's a bogey for Lowry, but very much could have been a double. That will feel like par for the Open champion.

England's Lee Westwood wrote a guide on how to conquer the Augusta National for one of the UK's national newspapers., external

And it looks as though he is following his own advice on his 19th start at the Masters.

That's a glorious tee shot on to the dance floor at four. Can he make it three birdies on the spin.

Nope that one just slides right from around 8-10 feet.

Westwood, usually goes well here, with half a dozen top 10 finishes to his name and his iron game looks in great nick early on.

    Woods E, Lowry E, Ogletree +1 (1*)

Lowry's escape from the bunker... you know the expression out of the frying pan? Well the Irishman might have avoided the water on the left.

Ogletree's pitch and run also runs but eases up before it can find more trouble.

Woods, who actually had much longer than 12 feet, runs his putt up to half a foot. Sunk. Par number two.

    DeChambeau E, Rahm +2, Oosthuizen -1 (3*)

Not the worst of lies for Bryson DeChambeau, given his tee shot found the trees to the right of the 13th fairway, a few pine needles beneath his feet the main issue - the American is scraping them off his soles.

Louis Oosthuizen lays up from the first cut of rough to give himself a better look at the pin and Jon Rahm, from the fairway, overcooks his approach beyond the top left of the green.

Eventually DeChambeau is ready to play, 194 yards, he's going for it but doesn't look impressed - it's gone a long way, but found the bushes beyond the green.

He's going to play a provisional.
