    Chelsea 0-0 Everton

Everton dig in. A tackle prevents Kai Havertz steadying himself to shoot after turning his marker on the edge of the box before Callum Hudson-Odoi misjudges a pass and sends it out for a goal-kick.

John Arundell: Just get a feeling it's not going to be boring with two attacking teams.

Christensen and Zouma in defence! Just watch us concede.

It is complete one-way traffic. Every time an Everton player does get hold of the ball his forward pass is easily intercepted by a man in a blue shirt.

Chelsea are absolutely bossing the midfield at the moment. They look really, really good.

Jorginho is orchestrating everything in that midfield.

The visitors' first attempt to get an attack going is through a long ball in Dominic Calvert-Lewin's direction, but Kurt Zouma cuts it out with his head and the home side are back on the front foot.

Kai Havertz is playing as a 10 and pushing on as a nine on Michael Keane, with Werner on the right and Hudson Odoi on the left. It's quite a narrow forward line which enables the wing-backs to get forward into those spaces.

At the moment Everton are being pushed back by those five.

The home side earn the first corner, which is taken short and then worked to the edge of the box where Timo Werner has darted to then fire a shot roughly 20 yards over the bar.

Losing Doucoure is the biggest blow for us, not just tonight but for the rest of the season. He's transformed our team. Hoping Tom Davies will continue his recent great form when he's back on the pitch.

    South Yorkshire Evertonian:

I'm hoping that we get to see Havertz play as a deep lying striker this evening, with Werner / CHO running in behind

Chelsea's is certainly a squad well equipped to cope with an injury or two in what has been an unusually demanding season for most.

Everton aren't quite as blessed. The loss of James Rodriguez, Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina and others means more of a stretch.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin. I remember there being really high hopes for him.

The Chelsea squad is ridiculously deep. Thomas Tuchel must have been licking his lips when he got the phone call to head to London for talks.

  19. Lawro's predictionpublished at 17:45 GMT 8 March 2021

West Ham v Leeds (20:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Leeds are very up and down at the moment - they are a bit like Aston Villa in that they are hard to predict.

West Ham have been far more consistent, which is why they are in the race for the top four. Yes, they lost at Manchester City last weekend but that was still a very good performance.

If Kalvin Phillips is back in the Leeds midfield then that improves their chances, but I'm backing the Hammers to maintain their impressive form.

    Prediction: 2-0

  20. Early team newspublished at 17:38 GMT 8 March 2021

West Ham v Leeds (20:00 GMT)

Turning to the later game at the London Stadium, the early team news is as follows...

West Ham goalkeepers Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph are both nursing injuries.

Randolph suffered a hip problem last weekend after coming in for Fabianski, who has an arm injury.

Leeds will assess Pascal Struijk, who was forced off in the home defeat by Aston Villa, plus several players who are nearing a return to full fitness.

Rodrigo, Gaetano Berardi and Ian Poveda all played for the development side on Friday, but Kalvin Phillips missed out.
