  3. 'Players are super focused'published at 17:50 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley v Wolves (18:00 BST)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "The players have been super focused, have a clear mind. Every game is tough and I'm very pleased with the players and the way they've gone about things after the restart.

"The motivation is there, it didn’t really put us off our the stride getting beat heavily by Man City, you do get on the wrong end of results like that, but you move on. The inner mentality of this group has been the vital ingredient.

"We have Chris Wood, who goes again tonight but players like Ben Mee won’t make it back, that's a blow. We’ve got a motivated group and we want to take that into the next three games and see what happens."

    Burnley v Wolves (18:00 BST)

    Robbie Keane
Former Wolves and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane on BBC One

The job that Sean Dyche has done at Burnley is incredible, especially with the limited resources. Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves has been given a bit more resources and money than Burnley but has still done an absolutely incredible job. The set-up suits his style of play, that 3-4-3 with the likes Ruben Neves and Raúl Jimenez, the way he likes. Wolves are a joy to watch.

    Jonathan Walters
Former Republic of Ireland international on MOTD

Sean Dyche has complete control at Burnley and it works.

It is a small tight-knit squad. At Burnley he has complete control and if he is to go over to a bigger club would he get that control?

Noel Fitzpatrick: I remember reading about a player who came on as a "timewasting" sub in injury time...but he was delighted, because the minute or so on the pitch gave him an appearance fee bonus! so with 5 subs, a couple of guys more will be quids in!

Jose Mourinho was all smiles in his pre-match interview but in his Premier League career, Mourinho has managed more games without winning at St James’ Park than he has at any other stadium (7 – D3 L4). Indeed, he’s lost more games there than at any other away venue in the competition.

  13. Burnley thinking of the fanspublished at 17:29 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley v Wolves (18:00BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

Burnley chairman Mike Garlick has spoken about the return of fans in stadiums at some point next season.

Talks have been taking place with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport about spectators being allowed back to sporting events in some capacity, with the suggestion horse racing will lead the way.

Premier League clubs are hoping to have a certain number of fans back when the 2020-21 season begins in September.

"The authorities and clubs are looking at next season and what it might look like from an operational point of view," said Garlick.

"That includes ways in which we can welcome supporters back into stadiums when it is deemed safe to do so.

"I am sure more details on this will feed out in due course but I just wanted to assure you that we are thinking of you and can't wait to see you all again back at Turf Moor."

After Wigan's 8-0 win against Hull yesterday, what was your team's most painful result?

David Ljunggren: I was at Upton Park in 1986 when Newcastle lost 8-1. We only had one keeper and he was crocked. A defender took over but he broke his collarbone. Beardsley, not a tall man, ended up in goal. Alvin Martin scored a hat trick, each goal conceded by a different keeper.

  15. Wolves to have too much for Burnley?published at 17:24 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley v Wolves (18:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Ex-Liverpool defender

Wolves returned to winning ways against Everton at the weekend, which is one of the impressive things about them - they don't let the odd bad result affect them or alter their game plan when they lose.

As good as Burnley have been of late - and they were very good when they held Liverpool last time out - if Wolves play well, they will win.

    Prediction: 0-2

  17. Five subs rule can remain in place until August 2021published at 17:18 BST 15 July 2020

Teams will be able to make five substitutions in a match until the end of the 2020-21 season after Fifa chose to extend the use of the rule.

World football's governing body says it is now up to individual leagues and competitions to decide if they wish to continue allowing five substitutions.

The rule can be used until August 2021, meaning the European Championships and Copa America can adopt it next summer.

What are your thoughts? Glad that it is sticking around or were you happy enough with three subs?

  19. 'We need a decision'published at 17:12 BST 15 July 2020

    Newcastle v Tottenham (18:00 BST)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce: "We're without six or seven and that's too big a number, it has taken its toll on us. You'll have to see what we're trying to do with the team. But we are not alone with that, that's why we have a squad. It gives people an opportunity."

Any takeover news Steve? "All I can do is carry on, we are planning to be as normal [for next season] and if something happens...we need a decision for everyone's sake.

"I do think having the five subs for next year benefits the bigger clubs but I can understand the reasoning of it. I would have stuck with three subs."

  20. Team newspublished at 17:10 BST 15 July 2020

Man City v Bournemouth (18:00 BST)

Manchester City make six changes from the side that thrashed Brighton on Saturday.

John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi are back in the centre of defence, meaning Pep Guardiola can use Fernandinho as a holding midfielder again, as he did in last week’s defeat by Southampton.

Ilkay Gundogan and David Silva also return in midfield, with Phil Foden joining Jesus and Bernardo Silva in City’s attack.

Eric Garcia, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez all drop to the bench, as does Raheem Sterling - who with 27 goals in all competitions is the leading scorer in English club football this season.

Bournemouth make four changes as they look to build on their astonishing comeback win over Leicester.

At the back Steve Cook comes in for Nathan Ake, who was injured in that win over the Foxes which breathed new life into the Cherries’ survival bid.

In midfield, Philip Billing and Junior Stanislas replace Arnaut Groeneveld and David Brooks on the flanks, while up front, Joshua King has recovered from a hamstring problem and replaces Callum Wilson.
