Good work by Daniel Podence on the left as he twists and turns to open up space for the cross but his delivery is headed behind by Charlie Taylor. Wolves have started well.

  3. Postpublished at 18:09 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 1-0 Bournemouth

Fernandinho's low strike from outside the box fizzes just wide of the far post as Manchester City come forward again.

Ten goals in their last two games and City are looking very much on it once again.

  4. 'Savour Silva'published at 18:09 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 1-0 Bournemouth

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's not fair to be honest, that you can leave Kevin De Bruyne out and David Silva can just walk in and do that.

I've enjoyed watching him play as much as any player in the Premier League era.

I'm savouring every moment he is on the field. It is a joy to watch him.

  5. Postpublished at 18:09 BST 15 July 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

Yes, I just said Newcastle were playing 3-4-2. Give yourselves a chance lads!

Here come Spurs, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura do well down the right to eventually tee up Gio lo Celso but his shot is deflected wide.

    Burnley 0-0 Wolves

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC Two

Burnley will have to double-up on Adama Traore tonight. Force him inside, make him come in on his weaker left foot. But how do you stop Traore getting into that five yard space to his right?

  7. CLOSE!published at 18:06 BST 15 July 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

It's been all Newcastle in these early stages and that's close! A cross from the right is partially cleared, headed out to Miguel Almirón on the edge of the box, his strike is true but Davinson Sanchez is well placed to head it away!

From the corner Almiron is picked out nicely, Teddy Sheringham-style on the run, but he lashes it way over the top.

  8. goal

    GOAL - Man City 1-0 Bournemouthpublished at 18:05 BST 15 July 2020

    David Silva (6 mins)

    Immaculate free kick!

Bournemouth concede a foul right outside the box and it is prime David Silva territory. He steps up and bends a superb strike into the top corner of the goal.

Thirty four but still very much got it. What a player.

  9. Postpublished at 18:04 BST 15 July 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

It's a 3-4-3, Conte style shape for Newcastle this evening. Plenty of width as Allan Saint-Maximin looks as dangerous as usual in these early stages.

  10. Postpublished at 18:04 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley 0-0 Wolves

Good block by Charlie Taylor as Adama Traore tries to burst in from the right. Wolves with the first corner of the game but Joao Moutinho's delivery is headed away.

  11. Postpublished at 18:02 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 0-0 Bournemouth

Manchester City are pressuring the Bournemouth defence straight from the off. The visitors are keeping their own area packed and there's not much room for the home side as Kyle Walker swings a cross in but can't find a team-mate.

  12. Postpublished at 18:01 BST 15 July 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

This is Newcastle's 3,500th game in the top flight and comfortably the one with the smallest attendance. Looks like the hosts are going with a back three today.

  13. Postpublished at 18:01 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley 0-0 Wolves

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC One

I'm expecting hell for leather today. These two deserve to be where they are, they're great to watch. I'm expecting goals but we have two good defences in Burnley and Wolves. It's all about the forward lines today: can they break down those solid defences?

    Robbie Keane
Former Wolves and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane on BBC One

I was trying to liken Raul Jimenez to someone - his heading is very like Alan Shearer - but he has so much to his game: he can come short, he can link the play up so well, he's just a machine. To me Jimenez has everything.

  20. 'It shows on the pitch how close we are'published at 17:54 BST 15 July 2020

    Burnley v Wolves (18:00 BST)

Burnley defender Ben Mee: "The lads have been fantastic and there's a real incentive to potentially go above Arsenal and Spurs.

"There's a way we play and we stick to that, against bigger teams we're a little bit different, the top teams. It's proving to be going well this season.

"Tonight is a big test for us, a good side. Hopefully we can go on a good run into next season, it'll be a short break, and who knows what we can do.

"We're a close bunch of lads, you see that with the injuries and lack of depth, but everyone puts in a shift. It shows on the pitch how close we are.

"He's quite a calm person (Sean Dyche), takes a few moments before he comes into the dressing room and speaks to us - we've had a few rollockings, but you expect that from any manager."
