    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

It's all Leicester now. A monopoly of possession. Definitely moving the ball quicker. A lovely passing move almost ends at the feet of Jamie Vardy but Villa keeper Orjan Nyland does really well to slide out and gather.

Qaaltagh: All well and good having twice as much of the ball as the opposition but if you can only muster two shots on target, well, it counts for nothing. Leicester would do well to remember they've been over-performing lately and they're nowhere near as special as they think.

  3. 'Bringing on Choudhury a great call'published at 21:06 GMT 8 January 2020

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bringing on Choudhury was a great call because it frees up Tielemans - and he's better in an advanced position. Now they've got that shield in position, that Ndidi role, and Choudhury does it really well.

They're going to have to create chances, because Villa are defending really well.

James Maddison wins another corner. Leicester really piling on the pressure straight out of the doors.

Jonny Evans was being wrestled with at that corner, VAR had a look at it but play on was the call.

Leicester win a corner inside 60 seconds. Huge roar...

Rick: Kinda sad that Grealish vs Maddison is the Gerrard vs Lampard debate of this generation

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:02 GMT 8 January 2020

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Leicester do make a change but it's not as attacking a one as we thought - Hamza Choudhury is on for Dennis Praet.

    The sides are back out...

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Leicester have Iheanacho, Barnes and Albrighton on the bench if Brendan Rodgers did want to make a change.

Jack Grealish has that... not arrogance, but he's so elegant, the way he moves with the ball, football's so easy for him. He doesn't mind getting into areas where a lot of players would shy away from the ball and he never does that, ever.

  13. 'Maddison is dropping too deep'published at 20:52 GMT 8 January 2020

    HT: Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester are getting on the ball and they want movement - I think Maddison is dropping too deep and the reason is he's not getting the ball in the final third. You can see Brendan Rodgers saying to him 'stay higher'. It wouldn't surprise me if he went back to a back four and brought on another attacking player.

  14. Villa satisfiedpublished at 20:52 GMT 8 January 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The King Power Stadium

Villa's goal came against the run of play but they settled to their task after going ahead and hold the advantage.

Jamie Vardy, predictably, is the big threat for Leicester City, who have had plenty of the ball but need to find the finishing touches.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 GMT 8 January 2020

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Party in the away end. Leicester well on top in terms of possession but it's Villa who hold the half-time cards.

  16. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Leicester keep the ball for an age, probing on the fringes of the area. As the crowd will a shot on goal James Maddison obliges, his strike is clean but nodded over the top by Tyrone Mings.

  17. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Leicester unsettled at the moment. Brendan has work to do in his team talk.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 42 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

That would have made life VERY interesting! Jack Grealish's free-kick is a tester, Kasper Schmeichel comes for it and doesn't get there and Ezro Konsa heads it onto the top of the crossbar!

    Let-off for Leicester.

  19. 'Grealish is a terrific player'published at 20:42 GMT 8 January 2020

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's the intelligence of Jack Grealish. He's a terrific player and I'm sorry to say this to Villa fans, but there will come a time when he moves to a huge club. He's that good of a player.

  20. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Aston Villa

Huge cheer from the Villa end as Jack Grealish has three men in his face and keeps the ball, backheeling out of pressure and then whipping the ball crossfield to a claret shirt. Class.
