  1. More goals required...published at 20:53 GMT 8 November 2018

    HT: Celtic 1-0 RB Leipzig

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Well done to Celtic for that first half showing, especially having been under the cosh in the first 10 minutes. Huge credit to James Forrest who grabbed this game by the throat and drove at Leipzig before flashing the ball across the penalty area for Kieran Tierney who lashed it home. A goal of quality and character, but more goals are needed if Celtic want to regain the initiative in this group.

They really need to beat RB Leipzig by a three-goals margin to get the edge on them. At this point it looks hopeful, but there is still much to do.

In the first 10 minutes Celtic couldn't get a hold of the ball. But goals change games and since then Celtic have been exceptional. They're playing superbly well.

So heartening to see so many young Scottish players performing so well for Celtic on the European stage. Tierney, McGregor, Christie and Forrest all prominent and showing they belong at this level.

  10. Celtic 'transformed' by first goalpublished at 20:35 GMT 8 November 2018

    Celtic 1-0 RB Leipzig

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

RB Leipzig were all over Celtic at the start, but since the goal it’s been all about the home team. The Scottish champions have been transformed by that Kieran Tierney strike and there is a real sense from the crowd that they expect more.

Celtic need goals to make up for the 2-0 defeat they endured in Leipzig. But there can be no room for complacency, there is plenty of quality in the Leipzig ranks and they always look a danger on the ball.

I think Celtic can really hurt Leipzig in the wide areas. Forrest on one side, Sinclair, Tierney are all doing well. Leipzig are allowing their full-backs to push on and Celtic are getting two versus ones in those areas.

Stefan Ilsanker upends Ryan Christie with a crude sliding challenge and is fortunate to avoid a booking. The free-kick comes to nothing - as does another soon after, from the other flank, with the Germans favouring a very high line at set-pieces. That's one to keep an eye on...
