You've got to hand it to both sets of players, this is a Champions League quality match. Both on and off the ball, it's been remarkable.

Celtic have been in good shape at half-time in European games before and it's all gone pear-shaped. They'll be expecting something from Leipzig. They need a second goal.

  19. Gerrard frustrated at defendingpublished at 20:55 GMT 8 November 2018

    FT: Spartak Moscow 4-3 Rangers

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard was disappointed with the result - and his side's defending - in their 4-3 defeat by Spartak Moscow.

"I think we attacked very well and I thought we were very dangerous and countered very bravely and got our rewards for that to be in control of the game at half-time," he told the club website.

"But, for me, football is about levels and, if you don't defend properly and you don't do the basics well enough, high-level players and high-level teams normally punish you and that was the case tonight.

"We didn't do the basics well enough, or clear our lines at the right time."

However, Gerrard was still hopeful that his side could qualify from their group.

"It is still wide open and it will go to the wire, which is what we predicted at the beginning," he said.
