It wouldn't surprise me if people started leaving now. It is really cold.
England can only nudge four singles from Glenn Maxwell's first four deliveries before, sadly, the rain returns.
The players trudge off yet again as the covers go on.

It's raining.

Since the resumption, we've had Zampa, five slower balls from Cummins, Zampa again and now Maxwell. It's pace off from Australia.
Aaron Finch mixing it up. Glenn Maxwell is going to have a twirl.

The far end is the Swimming Pool End. There had better be a swimming pool there. I've seen a fair bit of Canberra, but I've not seen the swimming pool. Or a kangaroo.
That's a good over from Adam Zampa, especially given the damp conditions. Just the six runs from it.
Ben Stokes is the next batter. You may have heard of him...

He was trying to go down the ground. Malan had played and missed at two balls before, so was trying to find a boundary. It was in the air for a long time, so was a good catch.
Malan c Marsh b Cummins 23 (Eng 63-2)
There is a fielder underneath this one though!
The slower ball from Pat Cummins has done for Dawid Malan as he skies the ball high into the air and Mitchell Marsh takes a decent catch as it emerges from the gloom.

That was the fielding of a man who didn't want to get injured before the World Cup.
Dawid Malan heaves Pat Cummins towards mid-wicket for a one-bounce four. Two Australia fielders converged on the ball but with this wet, skiddy outfield they decline the dive.
The break has not done Jos Buttler any harm. He cuts the first delivery after the break from Adam Zampa past backward point for four.
Perfect technique and placement from the England skipper.

The updated playing conditions:
Here's more David Warner on BBC Test Match Special: "I had a pretty heavy fall the other day. I've never had whiplash before so I'm missing today's game getting ready for the World Cup.
"This time last year a few people were writing me off. Our wickets here are very true and as an opening batter that is the best time to bat and hopefully I can keep continuing that form.
"You're going to have some highs and lows. And when you are at the low point you go back to the basics and back yourself. It is all about having confidence going out and trying your best."
On Glenn Maxwell's form: "Maxy's Maxy. It doesn't faze him too much. He is one good innings away from delivering. He is in a good headspace. The last 15-16 international games he hasn't scored many runs but it isn't the World Cup yet. That's when it is important. He is a big-game player."
More good news. Play will resume at 10:35 BST.
We have lost a bit of time unfortunately so the match has been reduced to 17 overs per side.
Good news. The rain has stopped and the covers are coming off.
There is plenty of mopping up to do - I can see some standing water in places. But hopefully we will get some play soon once the groundstaff have done their stuff.
