Re: Steve (16:39) There is clearly an easy answer to that though which is get Jos Buttler into England's midfield while putting Eric Dier into our middle order. Sorts both problems pretty quickly...

He may not have scored the runs he'd like but you can't keep Virat Kohli out of a game. Box office.

Mark Wood is out there now which suggests India are almost there.

England need 71 from 60 balls.

Magic from Kohli. If you need a job doing, do it yourself. Adil Rashid fails to time the ball as he intended and seemingly chips the ball to Kohli's left at short extra. Kohli has other ideas. He moves swiftly, sticks out a left hand and plucks the ball from behind him.

    He's even surprised himself.

I was convinced this would be done before the big one in Albania half an hour ago. Not so much now.

Virat berates long-off for bailing out of a catch.

I have both the England cricket and England football live pages running simultaneously. The former full of 'too aggressive' messages, the latter has many 'too defensive' comments. Has there ever been a less satisfied fanbase between disciplines?

Rashid tries to work the final ball of Bhuvneshwar's over down to third man but can't get the ball through the gap. Another handy over for India.

Everyone needs to calm down and remember we are missing our best two batsmen for run chases. Root and Morgan. And we are still in this.

It's not as bad as Australia's call in that famous Headingley Test but it did pitch a couple of inches outside.

This looks like a bit of a Paine v Leach '19...

Upstairs we go. Sam Curran is hit on the pad. I think it must have pitch outside leg.

Why can't England play positive AND smart cricket? Aggressive enough to be ahead in the run rate, but if they lose wickets, go into preservation mode temporarily, knowing a run a ball is enough, and then raise the tempo again if required.

"Yes, Rash," says Curran as he calls his partner through. After a good few overs, England allow Krishna to fire in four dot balls in this over.

Amused that Mahir (16.03) and Stan seem to think you can chase down 330 off 50 without hitting boundaries/at a run a ball... something doesn't add up chaps?!

Sam Curran's shirt is drenched in sweat and he's looking a little red in the face too. Hardik Pandya is on now, looking to make amends for that drop a few overs back. Curran nails him to the boundary off the final ball. Is anyone believing?

Rashid and Curran are bringing this closer and closer, you know. The partnership is now worth 42. If you ignore the wickets the equation is perfectly doable.

A boundary apiece for Rashid and Curran brings the target below 100. Is this on or just false hope?

    Target 330

Hardik was running round to long-off. He should have caught that. He didn't and there's still the tiniest of glimmers.

Hardik Pandya has dropped another one! It's gone for four too.

Pandya has had three chances today, caught the hard one dropped the other two.

The same comments come out every time. When we lose, everything is wrong, when we win everything is right. Can you imagine if any of these armchair heroes ever got hold of the reins? I'm sat on a sofa, FYI.
