    Men's 1000m time trial final

Callum Skinner, take a bow. He's onto the podium with at least a bronze medal guaranteed. One rider to come and it's Aussie Matt Glaetzer.

Skinner has been suffering with illness in recent days and wasn't able to take part in the men's sprint on Saturday, so that is seriously impressive from the two-time Olympic medallist.

Chad always goes out hard but Duncan goes for the finish. I’m so pleased for him. That’s one of the hardest races.

It was easily the race of the meet so far. Incredible.

That was seriously impressive from Joe Truman of England.

He was in the green for the most part of his kilo effort but chasing Eddie Dawkins' time proved too much as he faded towards the end.

He's out of the medals and into fifth.

WHAT A RESULT for Duncan Scott!

It’s his fourth medal of the Commonwealth Games here in Gold Coast and Scotland’s first gold in the pool!

He was always going to be behind early on and attempt to come through the field but no-one would have predicted that kind of fight in the closing stages to hold off the Australia powerhouse Kyle Chalmers and South Africa’s Chad le Clos.

On a side note - that’s Le Clos’ 15th career Commonwealth medal, which ties him with former Australian swimmer Susie O’Neill as the Commonwealth’s most decorated swimmers in history.

He looks, genuinely, chuffed to bits. There's a massive fist pump as he sees the scores.

So far he’s claimed three bronze medals - 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 4x100m bronze - and goes in the 100m freestyle final shortly.

Unsurprisingly his friends and family who I bumped into earlier were pretty confident about his chances...
