    Wow, that was some time trial with deafening cheers around the velodrome as Australian Matt Glaetzer claimed the gold with a new Games record and averaging 60.667kmh.

    Scotland’s Callum Skinner was looking on from the warm down area and gave a nod of appreciation to the home hero.

    Skinner will be collecting his bronze medal soon as the medal ceremony is set to begin.

    England can still win a medal in this competition though. They'll play Singapore for bronze tomorrow.

    Defending champions Malaysia will play India for gold.

    Malawi 57-53 New Zealand

    They've done it! Malawi have beaten New Zealand for the first time in their history.

    Roared on by the crowd, Malawi overturned the Silver Ferns' slender lead and powered to a four-goal victory.

    The win sparked wild celebrations from the Queens as they record their first win of the Games.

    The favourites for gold look to be England's Emily Godley and Canada's Marie-Eve Beauchemin-Nadeau, but Wales' Laura Hughes is still in the mix too.

    It’s men’s singles semi-final time and Joel Makin is about to take on Paul Coll of New Zealand.

    The announcer has just said Makin is Scottish - a big boo from the sea of red in front of me and he quickly changes his mind.

    I can confirm that he is indeed Welsh and aiming for a first Welsh medal in squash since Alex Gough in 1998.

    Kyle Chalmers and Chad le Clos were tied for second, so they both get silver medals, and stay at the same height on the podium.

    They have a quick hug, too, before Scott, enormous grin, steps up to the podium.

    Big sister Cate finishes first in a Games-record time of 52.664 - and dearie me, she made that look easy - with Bronte second.

    England's Freya Anderson and Jessica Jackson are fifth and sixth respectively.
