First opportunity for Marcus Rashford to cause problems as he gets in behind the Newcastle defence on the left but puts too much on his cross.

  2. Postpublished at 21:35 GMT 10 March

    Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

Newcastle are finishing this game strongly as Harvey Barnes sees a shot blocked, he then does well to keep the attack alive by prodding the loose ball to Joelinton, who feeds Lewis Hall on the overlap and his dangerous cross is put behind.

Even at 5-1, Atletico Madrid are showing more desire and effort than we have all season.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:34 GMT 10 March

    Atalanta 0-6 Bayern Munich

This could genuinely be double figures. Atalanta are all out of fight.

Dayot Upamecano has pretty much the freedom of Bergamo to nod down a header from Joshua Kimmich's in-swinging cross but his effort bounces up into the post and is scrambled away.

You cannot give any Tottenham player any credit this evening. There is no communication between the players or attitude of trying to dig in together.

Richarlison is the only one who has that fight in him - but Spurs need 11 of him tonight.

  7. Postpublished at 21:32 GMT 10 March

    Atletico Madrid 5-1 Tottenham

This time it's the turn of Cristian Romero to slip at the crucial moment at the edge of his box, but just as it looks as though Atleti will pounce, Spurs manage to clear.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:32 GMT 10 March

    Atalanta 0-6 Bayern Munich

A dark cloud over an otherwise perfect night for Bayern as Alphonso Davies sinks to his haunches and covers his face.

He looks to have suffered another injury in what has already been an injury-blighted season for the 25-year-old Canadian international.

Tom Bischof comes on in his stead.

It's March. The World Cup starts in June. We're in the phase where every injury is going to be scrutinised and Davies is in tears.

Oh frustration for Newcastle as they have a goal ruled out for offside.

Harvey Barnes hits the far post with a curled effort and Joelinton is there to prod in the rebound but he is way offside.

The Spanish radio reporter sat next to me in the press box just keeps repeating 'Es simplemente maravilloso' over and over.

    It means 'It's simply wonderful'.

    Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

    Chris Waddle
Former Newcastle & England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Barcelona have been very disappointing, apart from that Lewandowski chance, they've not got past Newcastle's back four.

You've got to say at the minute, they will take 0-0 all day.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 GMT 10 March

    Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

Marc Bernal appears to have hurt his thigh while running and he can't continue. Marc Casado replaces him with just over 15 minutes to go.

  15. Postpublished at 21:26 GMT 10 March

    Atletico Madrid 5-1 Tottenham

It's all getting a bit heated.

Atleti defender Robin Le Normand takes issue with Dominic Solanke, who he feels barged into him unnecessarily.

Play resumes with a long Spurs throw into the box. The ball is loose for a moment, but nobody gets a proper touch and Jan Oblak can collect.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 GMT 10 March

Jacob Murphy volleys over from a great position. Big chance for the hosts.

  18. goal

GOAL: Atalanta 0-6 Bayern Munichpublished at 21:25 GMT 10 March

    Jamal Musiala (67 mins)

    Poor old Atalanta.

Nicholas Jackson turns provider this time, flashing a cross in from the right of the area which is turned home on the volley from a couple of yards out by Jamal Musiala.

His second goal in as many Champions League appearances after that horrible injury in the Club World Cup last summer.

Triple change for Newcastle to replace some tired legs.

If Igor Tudor had any sense of honour he would tender his resignation the moment this game ends. His team selection is baffling and his man-management skills are abysmal.
